How do you guys play? I try to travel as light as possible so I don't get bogged down in useless gear. Up until now I have always used a 32Degrees six pod+tank harness (which bounces around too much) plus my marker. I am going to buy my friends Blackcell Operative vest though and finally get rid of my harness. I would like your opinions on what attachements to get for it. For Christmas I am going to buy the G36 (folding stock) kit on Opsgear for my Custom Pro. I am planning on getting the 2+1 pod holder since I don't go through that much paint, radio pouch, swab holder, one grenade pouch, and the large zipper pocket so I can carry lens cleaner, rag, 9V, etc. Also, which do you guys think is a better choice overall, the cyclone upgrade for the 98 or a Q-loader? I think the better choice would be the Q-loader. And do the tubes for the Q fit into pod holders?

I would go cyclone, but thats because I use a Tac Cap. My A-5 is a G-36 setup, folding stock. I use a MOLLE vest, with two of the old school M-16 mag pouches (the ALICE style). That holds 6 30 round pods. That with the 30 round tac cap makes a combat load of 210 rounds. Then I have my Tiberius in a drop leg holster, with 5 mags plus 1 in the weapon.

Uniform is ACU's, 5.11 Tac NFO gloves, Bates Enforcers, and Hatch kneepads.

Yes, your Q pods should fit in most normal harnesses.

Even though I am a commander, I also provide suppressing fire and carry a full load of poads (8 Lidlocks). I end up carrying an extra barrel as well as a pistol back up (a Tac 8 or a Splatmaster). At least 1 radio is a must. A PPT is also a great choice. I love the ability to engage multiple targets and be able to direct my team onto the afore mentioned target while keeping them suppressed.
Here's a basic list that I have:
1 A5
8 Dye Lidlocks
1 pistol (maybe 2)
1 radio
1 throat mic

I've found that the throat mic makes it easier to wear a radio. Boom mics tend to have more pressure because of the mask.

Okay, here is my complete list for what I am getting for x-mas:

2-point G.G.S. sling - tan
Blackcell 2+1 pod Holder
Blackcell Single Grenade Pouch
Blackcell Operative V2
SpecOps Deluxe Tac. Belt
Rocket Cock II
SpecOps MOLLE Pocket w/ID
(and the Blackcell custom dump pouch I am buying myself)

(the G36 stuff is still a ways down the line for me)

I need an experienced opinion on my Blackcell camo pattern choice though. I like the ACU, and I don't need to be completely hidden by my camo, but I don't know if it will stick out that much in the woods either. I don't care if it's slightly noticable, I just don't want to be completely exposed. If I need to I want to be able to find some cover and blend in with it, which I am not cure the white and grey in ACU will let me do.
This is our team: My best friend's dad is coming home from Saudi soon, so I will no longer have to be commander, I can go back to light rifleman and pointman. We only have a four man team, so my friend and his dad are going to be sniper and spotter respectively, my other friend scout, and I will be utility man doing whatever is needed. This may not be the wisest team structure, but I know; we are just trying to have fun  . I will have my dump pouch filled with spare 9V's, a couple grenades, smoke if we have it, cleaning supplies, etc. If you guys think ACU will stick out like a sore thumb, I am getting SpecOps Digi everything, but if not its ACU all the way.

Thanks for you input so far!

ACUs arent that bad in the woods. They were made for urban though. Dont worry about it. If you know how to hide, you can hide in anything.

I'm using:

Marauder 1 full set (Jersey, pants)
BCU Jungle Stubby patrol cap
Spec Ops Recon 06 vest
4 pods
A-5 standard w/Progressive barrel

It all needs to be cleaned. Badly. Very badly...

I use a flurry vest (4 - 140 rd pods)

2005 ICD Generation II Freestyle (w/ hybrid grips, 14" UL barrel, and CP HPR)

Halo V35

PMI 72/3000 tank

My mask is a Vforce profiler

and I carry (in my vest) a cobra radio (w/ a PTT earbud & microphone that came w/ radio set).

I am not the "Commander", as I do not play with an organized team, but a regular group of friends, as well as new players any of us bring along. Inevitably someone fills the role of managing, or providing direction at events to our group, or organizing the walk ons.
____________________________________________________________________________________________

Other players in my typical group use belts or vests, using (off the top of my head) a naughty dawg freestyle, 2004 prostock, dm5, ion, and various configurations of Tippmann 98's and Spyders.

Most of the time I lend out my other markers to new players (or those who would prefer to use them in comparison to their Tippmann's and Spyders).... these markers are an 2002 Angel LCD, SP-8, Tippmann 98, and Spyder Sonix.

Typically 1/3 to 2/3 of my party has radios, although for walk on play the size of most fields leads us not to utilize them.

I am just worried that the whites and greys in the pattern will stand out too much and even hiding won't work. I know I would be fine with ACU in the fall and winter, but in the spring and summer I would stand out too much. I just wish they had the Operative V2 in Multicam, but they don't :( . I will probably get the vest in SpecOps and everything else in Multicam.

For the most part (and since most people don't know how to properly conceal themselves), any color combination that does not stand out amongst the natural colors (IE. red, orange, etc), will prevent attention from being drawn to you.
