and depending on how long the Chinook lasts the odd exploding tree.

AH! So THAT'S what was wrong with those trees! When we drove through Alberta I remember seeing these random trees that looked bulged out and cracked that were missing little chunks! All we could think of was that someone was sticking big fireworks or something in them, or that they were diseased!

I just looked at an Aerial photo of Kingston Ontario Canada. I did not realize that it was right on the water. Also, it very close to the border.

my town seems like a perfect balance for me, just outside the big cities yet still is a small town, there's a creek, sports, woods, and plenty of stuff to do. only thing i hate is that the closest paintball field is about an hour away.

Yup. There's a good sized island here, Wolfe's Island, that has a summer ferry to Cape Vincent. I can be in NY in abut 2 hours from leaving my door and make a day trip to Watertown by mountain bike.

I live in the Northwest of England. Moves up from down in Gloucestershire a few years back.
I hate it up here. It's a dump.
As for the country as a whole... Love it, even though I complain about it a lot.

I love it here in Sherman, Texas. My wife and I lived in Mckinney which is 30 miles South of here but it got VERY overpopulated in just 5 years. You couldn't go to the store without sitting through every stop light for 3 or 4 cycles. Since we moved to Sherman it's been VERY nice. We live in a very upscale apartment complex that nice and peaceful. The traffic is very light. The people that you come into contact with at the grocery stores, gas stations, and restuarants, are generally much more nice and polite. Moving here was one of the best decisions we ever made. Living in North Texas means great weather year round which means paintball year round. I'm also only 4 hours from D-Day in Oklahoma. We're going to buy a house in the country with lots of woods behind it. The schools in the area are top notch which is good for my son.

I like where I live, even though there's usually "nothing to do". It's only a 15/20 min drive to Lexington (home of W&L and VMI), and rather close to Charlottesville. Even though it's in Western VA, it is by no means redneck land. It is a nice mix of all types of people, due to the two colleges in Lex, and the locals. There are a few problems with the area, however. It used to be an agricultural economy, which is now being taken over and destroyed for residential uses. Taxes are skyrocketing, and many of the farmers are going out of business. The residential boom here is destroying forests here as well.

While I do love living here, all that was the norm is changing. Luckily, I'll be finishing highschool soon, and will be leaving this place for a long, long time.

I love California as a state, and have a love/hate relationship with the central valley i live in. love it because its an hour to the Sequoias, an hour and a half to ski, 2 to Yosemite, and 3 to the coast. I can be in LA, SF, Pismo, Monterey, in 3 hours or less and SD in 5. I can really be anywhere. But the Valley isn't too fun. Its all farmland, so yeah we have pretty darn good steaks, and its boring. I like that its pretty conservative here, and especially moreso than than the coastal big cities. The temperatures suck, the valley is literally a desert with irrigation, it gets to be 112 sometimes in the summer and below freezing in the winter, but no snow its too dry. I'd really like to move to Monterey or Pismo to open up a restaurant though :D

I live about 40 minutes from any major civilization, but it always seems that I'm as far as physically possible from any paintball field in my area... The closest one to me however is 15 minutes away, but it's so expensive...

I've lived in a small town in Arizona for the majority of my life. I was too young to remember where we lived before here...! I love this state. I mean we've got great mountains 10 mins away for hiking and camping, we've got Laughlin, Lake Havasu, and Vegas all within an hour away... And the landscape is gorgeous. And the winters are warm... What's not to love? However... I HAVE been here all my life and I am so ready to leave. There are so many things I'll miss, but the way I see it, it's an adventure! There will be so many new things for me to grow to love and I'm looking forward to that! Plus where I'm thinking of moving, they play lots of paintball as opposed to here, so that helps!!

I like where I live (central cali), I just don't like all the people who live here. Theres a huge gang problem.

I like it because I can get to the mountains in about and hour and the beach in about two yet I'm in the valley so theres no extremes, like floods, tornadoes, tsunamis, hurricanes, etc.
