this story starts out with a girl, whom some other girls (thets call them Group A) had asked a question about her sexual orientation. The rumor mill says they werent trying to be spiteful, and were asking in a serious manner, but then again you never know. so anywho, Jane as we shall call her goes home and blog on her Myspace that she wants to kill Group A. from reading the blog its obvious she had no intention of hurting anyone, and was merely angry. but wisely so, the next morning Jane is called to the office and later she is put in ISS just in case. then out of somewhere word arises that she has an accompliss with violent intentions. so the girls in Group A are sent home, and the supposed accompliss is brought to the office, his locker is searched, and he is cleared of guilt. they decide to hold him the office though until the whole situation is diffused. by 8:00am, the whole situation had been handled. however, this did not stop others from seeing an oppurtunity to get the day off. others who were vaugely involed say they dont feel safe and want to go home. due to the nature of the event the school officials let them go. now the door is open for people who had absolutely nothing to do with it to start going home. they do, in droves. now that word is to the parents, the cops and the media show up. there are even more rumors floating around. now the 7th and 8th graders, who had to this point been in the dark, believe there really was a shooting and start to panic. they are out of control, rumors are running rampant, and 75% of the student body has gone home by lunch. the rest of us with a little common sense or just nothing better to do decide to stick around an coast through the rest of the day, since no teacher is going to teach with 3/4 of the class gone. by the time i got home both of my parents thought there was 2 guns found, and one of them had been pointed at some people, and there had been arrests. none of which is remotely true. the rest of the town was abuzz with rumors, some of which were rediculous beyond belief.
naturally i played halo2 after school with some people that stayed.
its amazing to me how a nonevent turned into fiasco like this. in the void of information people get really stupid
