I don't own one but many of friends used them when they had Mags back in the day. They are a solid performer as long as the paint is sized correctly. My suggestion would be to get a barrel kit of some kind if you have cocker threading for your barrel, if you have a twist lock....although I hate the company...buy a used Smart Parts Freak Barrel twistlock for a mag. I have one of those and they work pretty well, so I would recommend it for a twistlock user. Lastly, if you have a twistlock barrel you can get a twistlock to autococker thread adapter by Doc's Machining. You will have to look for a used one or wait for them to come back up on his web page; http://www.docsmachine.com
Just my two cents. V/R "Outlaw5"

The old style ones were very popular back in the day. Most everyone who used a "Smart Mag" used one and a lot of players added them on to their basic setups. Porting was pretty revolutionary (although not for the reasons it was marketed as). It helped make a quiet marker, even more silent. They could also be anodized to match your current setup. It was very well liked over Smart Parts previous barrel, the Venturi Barrel.

There are more options than just Doc's adapter. You can also go into the dealer's subforum at Automags.org, and look around a bit. There's a posting about adapters being made by Metadyne I think, the thread is by Noxx. You also have the option of the Python Compression kit now, which has 4 inserts you can pick from, so essentially is a mini-kit. Fits into twistlock, has Cocker threads just like Doc's, but takes inserts. The Metadyne adapter is the same but you can pick from a few different threads, I believe they are Cocker, A-5, and Spyder.

Because I was told that they don't make the All American in a Automag Quick Lock yet I thought I had seen one.

I am interested in getting one but now that it looks like I might have to go the adapter route......hmmm.

Thanks for all the info guys, gots me some thinking to do.

Arizona Paintball Depot (www.arizonapaintballdepot.com) has some Automag twistlock barrels, including the All American. They're not listed in their online store, but they DO have them. My 68 Automag package came with a Freak back, and I just expanded from there. When I got a Cocker-threaded body, I bought another back for it.
