I saw on the Medusa pod loader topic that vest builder was getting redone. Any timetable on this? I'm looking to order a custom vest but if you're going to update it i would wait.

On a related note, what is getting changed?

You may not want to wait as the main changes will be to pricing as costs have gone up. Truthfully though, there are a number of options we will be adding that have been requested by customers. As always, if you can't build exactly what you want in the Vest Builder, just get hold of me for a quote. Also, there are MANY things prioritized ahead of this update right now.

or take a look at the forge vest line. I've put my vest together for a fraction of what it would have cost according to the vest builder

i dont understand that.... the vests were super expensive in the first place, why make them even more expensive? thats why i dont get one... that and all the spec ops vests i have had(even my forge one) the stitching falls apart...

The costs of materials keep going up ...

And if something has been off with the stitching, I'm sure MOATI would be willing to help you and and fix it - they do have a warranty, I believe.

for that price it better. but when i can get one of there pre made vests with more pockets for cheaper.... they still have to make it, so why gouge the price on making your own vest.... i just dont get it.

All of their prices will go up when they do - and it takes longer to complete a custom order as special instructions are taken care of. Time is money.

Mass produced items will always cost less than custom.

I'm not sure how MO is doing things now, for a time all new soft goods were made on a "custom" basis as he was turning the business around which made even standard items just a bit higher than the original list price - this may still be the case. On the items he lists now he probably has a certain amount in stock from when they were mass produced, so those costs are going to be "cheaper" by comparison. But, they're likely not available in all the colors/patterns - so those would be custom made for an extra cost.

If you've had an issue w/ a soft good item, contact MO for a repair.

I would but some how it would be considered, I play to hard and that would be the reason. I'll ask him.

And the pre made vs custom, you can get twice every thing on pre made and still pay half the price. I understand its all custom, guess ya just have to pay the price.
