but i figure, if i'm going to throw a big chunk of money at a longbow, i might as well just go ahead and go all out, right? i don't think i'll be sorry with going for the AGD, as we've discussed this before in this thread. and, if i get tired of the longbow setup, i've got a kickbutt marker there waiting for me in itself.

I agree, go all out or not at all...Leonidas does have a point, but the Longbow looks better. :D

well. it seems like your reaching a decision.
Im not you so I really cant sway how you want your marker to look, and plus i'v already tryed

But if you do decide to go with an Aigun designs marker you wont regret it, we have a whole forum AO forum ( Automags Online )
and a sub topic :AGD thread
with, tonnes and tonnes of information.

If you do buy AGD.
i dont recommend the airpack installed - becuase you can add your own on/off with macroline if you wish.
I definatly recoomend the ULT trigger pull kit not installed ( added..not installed ) simply because it saves yea 40 bucks and its easy as pie to do it yourself.

USPS did a good job on getting it across the boarder.

I dont know if this has already been mentioned, but the new tac-1's dont accept the longbow system. you'd need to find an old one

Longbow ready tac-one's have the old body, thus they should work just fine.

Yeah, it will work, it used to be that EVERY Tac One was "Longbow Ready", not the case any more though.

basically all they do is take a rail and drill three holes in it to accept screws.
Thus longbow ready!

Yeah, but I would rather pay $50 than screw up my Tac One...

Well if you decide to go for the longbow, I recommend a good bolt and a QEV. Then a trigger. That's about it. I run a Firebolt and a 360 QEV in my SP8 (Same internals).

I OWN both the TAC ONE longbow/qbow set up & BlackCell ION that I convert to the longbow set up from time to time.

basically, the TAC ONE is headache free after you tune it, ULE the trigger etc. Just Clean, OIL and play.
The Tac One is one of the most accurate markers I've ever shot. I will argue that point with someone for an entire day!!

The ION, totally fun marker to shoot. Mine was a bit of a headache at first. I completely dropped the stock crap out of it
and fully modified 90% of the parts. WOW, I wish I had a time machine, I don't think I would do it again!
It's accurate, nothing like the TAC ONE. I use mine for an assault style set up.
When longbow'd I use it for sneaky running around, ambushing type play & it completely does it's job.
I broke the eyes off the board last time I was taken the marker apart (board still functions and modes work, just no eyes - don't need 'em, doesn't chop paint).
IONs are just a TINKLE poor design as far as maintenance goes.
The after market parts made the ION a FUN marker to shoot. A stock ION, to me it sucks!
I'm attached to it now, thanks to APE and New Designs...lol! Autococker threading too! WooWoo!
It's like suping up a NEON than trying to sell it for $50k because it's FAST!

PM me, if TAC ONE is what you want - possible "cheaper" suggestion for a set up for you. and NO not selling you MY TAC ONE!

I won't argue marker quality on this one but accuracy? But come on guys....
Every single one of you know that the accuracy of a paintball marker depend on 3 things and nothing more.
1. The quality and shall we go with roundness of the paintball
2. The biggest part yet Paint to Barrel size matching. ( This also affects efficiency)
3. Consistency of the markers internals to produce low +/- fps every shot.

I disagree. My pump 2k5 sniper is way more accurate even with the stock barrel and old paint than my a5 was with fresh paint and an upgraded barrel.
