Okay, I've been looking for a mid-high end marker for some time. I came really close to purchasing a WGP SR autococker but after getting a chance to use one the other weekend, I've changed my mind about owning an autococker. I've been looking at three different markers for the last two weeks.

1. The Angel 1. That thing is super sexy. I havent had a chance to hold one or even see one up close but from the pictures I've seen..I'm in love.
2. Dangerous Power G-3. I've gotten to hold this marker and I have to admit, I could really see myself enjoying it. Its amazing how light it is and it fits well.
3. Etek Ego. I really love the looks of this marker. Also, I've found a nice place to get a package including HPA and hopper for around $600.00.

Well I know the G-3 would save me alot of money but I also dont want to look back in the coming months and think "Wow, why didnt I go ahead and buy marker X when I had the chance"? I guess I'm pretty much sold on the Angel 1 but I was wondering if its really worth the money. I dont want to regret my next marker purchase like I did with my paintball blender a.k.a. Invert Mini. I want a gun that I'll be able to use in the coming years without having to upgrade constantly. I simply dont know enough about WDP as a company and I hate visiting other paintball forums out there due to the lack of maturity so if anyone out there uses an Angel 1 or another WDP product I'd be appreciative to get your opinion on the company and their products. Thanks in advance.

I've always loved the Ego's, and have gotten lit up by numerous versions. All three of those are super-duper all around. That's a hard decision you've got to make. How about you use the money you have, buy a bunch of lottery tickets, win the lottery and buy all three?

Everyone that I have talked to about Angels say they a very poor resale value. I have held the Etek and the Ego 8 and they both feel really good and balanced.

If I were you I would try to buy an Intimidator or a BL Protege. You can buy the Protege for $550 new and it is one of the best guns for the money.

If you already have a mini why not get that tuned in and then use it? Its already a good marker.

True. A $500 gun won't be much better than the Mini.

G3's are glorified Ions. Unless there is something you dont really like about your Mini I see no reason to waste money. MOre than likely you have an old poppet in your Mini which you can have replaced for free in the same amount of time you can decide, order, and receive a new marker.

If you're set on spending money, then I would look at a Marq or Vice instead anyway. I've never been sold on Angels.

Its an unbalanced spoolie, just like the Ion. They just changed it a lil bit but its basically the same thing. They put it in an ego-esque body so no one would care to notice the difference and claimed it was a Mini-beater since it appears to be so small without the top part of the snatch.

I'm not sayin theyre terrible. Theyre just no where near the hype IMO.

I have shot a Threshold and they shoot much much better than an Ion.
edit: woops I don't own one. I forgot to put the "shot" in

Buying a marker based on resale value is retarded. An angel 1 retails for 800(with a free air tank) and you can sell them for around $500.

1500-1600 shots off a 68/45 isn't much of a gashog, 1800+ shots if you get the new mango internals.

OP- You really have to decide, you've choosen 3 VERY diffrent feeling markers. My advise is too go out and ask people if you can fondle their markers(maybe not with that wording) and buy the one YOU think is the most confertable to hold. Buying a marker based on someone elses experience is a bad idea.

Man, I only get about 1K off of my A1 off a 68/45. Is there a reason for that?

There could be a whole host of reasons, your settings are probably just off.

Okay, just got my mini back. The poppit was replaced as well as the stock bolt (something about a burr). I just ran a case of paint through it without a single chop. This is the marker I thought I was purchasing to begin with. I'm no longer looking for another marker. I'm just looking forward to getting it back out on the field for the second time.
