Because of a lack of supplies (We have 6 Tippmanns and 8 players), when I do ref I'm usually lending my gun to someone else. In which case, I'm usually carrying my Camera for some good in game footage. I also carry a Canadian flag so no one shoots me. Just a random fact.

Normally when I am called upon to ref, I often bring my Core ZX. I have a gun belt with a holster on it, and so I keep it in there while I am doing my duties.

On quiet days I usually take my backup (Tippmann) and keep it in the boot of the car. Then if boss says he doesn't need me to ref, I grab my gun and play.

I usually bring most of my equipment. 2 ions and my cocker pump. I dont let it interfere with reffing though. sometimes renters ask about the differance in guns and its nice to show them whats out there. Also i get in some good games if we have enough refs. I have also been asked to play to help even things out sometimes no matter how you break up the teams one team just has an edge so we even things up. The other big plus is if you have a dirty player in a group. when a ref takes off the yellow and black and throws on a pack some peoples attitudes really take a 360. The one downside is when you have immature refs and they forget that there not there to work on there own personal guns or when they gotta prove to the renters just how good they think they are. Also though ive helped some newer gun owners improve there games by showing them a few tips. I reffed a few differant fields and each owner has there rules and reason for them so i just respect that. :)
i will give up my marker only after you pry my cold rigid fingers from the trigger

It depends. I'll bring my marker if I know we're not gonna have many players that day. I'm our only scenario playing Ref, even though we only have 1 speedball field and a dozen woodsball ones. If there's a good chance we'll be busy, the A-5 stays home.

I don't ref on a regular basis, but whenever I do my Zeus G2 stays with me. Just in case the kids decide not to listen. :(

For the past 3 saturdays, 4 of 6 groups have asked me if I want to play, and since I am allowed to play with groups I'm reffing, and also because I almost never get to woodsball, I bring my gun out every week.

i bring a large caliber rifle for anti bear and animal and anti noob duties if need be, JK

if i do ref ill borrow my freinds tac-8 but i never actually use it but it keeps the new kids from acting up

i have about three guns that i let people rent for cost if i feel its necessary

overall i dont think a gun on a ref should be required to be used, unless its like a starting pistol to end matches.

When I get called upon to ref I am already at the field with all my gear. I just put my goggles on and then leave the rest behind until someone else takes over.
