ok guys not to get off track but..................... about how much does hpa cost?  Thanx for the replies and votes....keep them comin
:P

I just paid $195.00 for the Crossfire 92CI 4500psi high pressure tank. But that's to run my X7. I'm not sure what the 98 needs, never had one. MacDev's go for a much higher price!

For right now I'm Co2 because it's a cheap tank and a cheap fill. Now someday I may find a good reason to go HPA but until then I'm happy with my Co2.

Co2 is nice becuase you can fill it almost anywhere.Hpa is suposto shoot straighter( so they say).It like if you live close to a hpa filler you mite want to go with hpa depends on location.

HPA can be filled in more places. All HPA is is regular air that is then compressed. It makes your gun "shoot straighter" and is more accurate because it is more consistent and there are no velocity spikes. Also, C02 can be a liquid which can damage the internals of a gun.
Go With HPA

well this is under the "sniper" forum so i assume you shouldnt be taking many shots (so price isnt that big of an issue) and you need to be concealed (co2 makes a bug white flash) and if your "sniping you probably will want to have a good marker and most good markers take only HPA

its self explanatory

I have a Phantom that runs on 12 grams. Are you saying my Phantom is a bad marker?

I would go with CO2, just because it's a Tippmann. Make sure you get a metal powertube however, so you don't risk cracking it.

It's definetly nicer on the o-rings and stuff...plus, I like the tanks better...a 68i/45 hpa vs a 20oz co2...the hpa fits nicer.

I say you should get HPA because it's generally more consistent. But before you get a tank, make sure that you can 3000-4500 PSI fills somewhere in your area.

There is generally a scuba shop near by that will do it. They fill my 3000psi for $5.
And as a field member i get free refills, so I always top up before I leave the field.
