holy crap reffing is hard,
booking of 17 deff people
they can't hear when i say to put your condom on, or when i say to start the game or that there airtank is empty or that they should not put paintballs in there god dam hopper!
or any thing think of anything you do to setup a game ? how do you give a saftey breafing when nobody can here any thing
well we put them down on paper and handen it out but my god

PUT YOUR MASK ON PUT YOUR MASK ON
PUT YOUR MASK ON PUT YOUR MASK ON
PUT YOUR MASK ON PUT YOUR MASK ON o rite you can't here so i walk over to him and shake it

o and little things later i wanted to add like
"becase this field has 2 feet of snow do not go up the stairs" so later someone who was looking away for that split second when the translater "said" it went up and suprise suprise fell off and hurt his knee

o and this is the big thing holy crap this i can not belive, it was the last game of the day, rules are simple play untell your out of paint, get shot, go back to the start tower and keep playing
when this one dumb girl is walking by her boyfrend on the other side and there both out she gets the bright idea for no reason mind you; to shoot him in the nuts 4 times SHOOT HIM IN THE NUTS AT CLOSE RANGE 4 TIMES
for no reason so that enden the day or him laying face down in the snow for 25ish min and me taking her marker away

holy crap i have new respect for refs ... and now i am one... and i have to go back tomorow ... and im not getting paied for this... man im cold

hahahahaha.....

...welcome to the other side of the game. Next you can be the tech.... aak, fixing guns that people break... then you can run the store... which is a nightmare during a tourney or scenario... then you can do all of it in one day.... like I used to do.

..it's kinda fun, though, isn't it? :ninja:

LOL, now you see why refs get cranky every now and then.
This is my sig. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My sig is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. My sig, without me, is useless. Without my sig, I am useless. I must type my sig true. I must spell better than my enemy who is trying to judge me. I must type before he ridicules me. I WILL... My sig and I know that what counts in this forum is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, nor the splatter we make. We know that it is the hits that count. WE WILL HIT... Before the Admins, I swear this creed. My sig and myself are the defenders of my forum. We are the masters of our enemy. WE ARE THE SAVIORS OF MY PROFILE. - Tippmann Owner #pi

Congrats! Having reffed soccer while the kids are deaf, a flashlight goes a LONG way. They have very sensitive eyes and will pick it up very quickly.

Like goldsmith said, now for the store, tourneys, and certification and you are on your way!

*cries*

Amen! Amen!

I feel your pain!

*cries some more*

Try reffing a bunch of hot heads that simply don┤t admit they have a break.

I┤m always like:

Me reffing for the first time: Dude you┤re out!

Angry player: What! What! What! No way! BOINK YOU! *takes off gloves* What! C┤mon lets go!

Teamate: Dude, you┤re out...

Angry teamate: Oh... *walks away shamefully*

And after that he┤s all cool and nice...

Some people are just too darn competitive...
If you would make a timeline of your life, and you would add the dates you bought Halo: CE, Halo 2, and Halo3, put this in your sig.

Waiting ANXIOUSLY, and I mean ANXIOUSLY!!! For Halo 3...

yeah welcome to reffing.
Its like that, just yell louder, and don't give any breaks for people who keep breaking the rules.
Where do you live and what field? asking because you live in canada.

Just because they were deaf does not mean that you should be pissed off. I reffed a group of deaf players before and didn't have a single problem. You just have to take your time and enounciate your words so that they can read your lips when not playing. While playing, use hand signals. The deaf guys that I reffed were rolling the field that day. They crushed one of the home teams and gave a D2 Xball team a run for their money.

You shouldn't be complaining. I have reffed, aside from the deaf group, spanish, russian and hebrew groups, among others. Patience is a vertue. Be calm, but stern. Issue warnings to players and if they keep breaking the rules, sit them out for a game or two.

Ah, the joys of being a ref.
I've got to hand it to you though, that must have been hard. I've never had any deaf people.

Then again, plenty of other people are so clueless that they might as well be deaf...

well it is kinda fun but for the last week i was working in the store where our sales were some kids come in to stare at the bt4 assault in cammo some guy tryout the new boblong one ... intersding guy came in to talk about his kids(???) and then a frend of the owner camein and stole a shirt
o and a old cupple that came in and were like " hello we would like a paintball for our granson"

so it was kinda fun and way more exciting

they were genuily deff, sign lauange and everything, and im not mad at them because they coulden't lissen i guess im mad at my self ... or god, it was frustrating because they were not incline to follow rules like putting condomes on when you enter the stageing area adn yelling don't help
