Hey my friend is having troubles with his SP-1 again and I figured Id see if anyone knew what was up...

Ok so when my friend has his tank on the marker he can shoot it just fine, then when he puts the hopper on and puts a ball in, it makes a noise like "pff pff pff pff pff" then when he takes the hopper off, he can shoot it when he puts just one ball in the chamber and when the hopper is off but when the hopper is on, it makes a noise like the bolt isn't moving. Please help! He just got the gun and already he is beggining to curse Smart Parts, if you have any ideas just spit em' out!!!

Only thing I can think of off the top of my head is ask if any part of the hopper is cracked/damaged in such a way as to protrude (even a very, very small amount) into the chamber.

It sounds like the anti-chop when the hopper is on.

Check his hopper, better yet try it with a few other hoppers if you have any to spare.

It sounds ridiculous, I know, but I'd try it just for the fun of it.

Only other possibility I can immediately think of is if the paint and/or feedneck is off so that a ball plus some gets in the chamber, though that strikes me as even less likely.

I think Thalion is right, it's the anti-chop with the hopper. How long is the feed neck on the hopper itself? Does it seem long enough to interfere with the bolt?

If you have another hopper with a shorter neck, see if it makes a difference.

Change the battery out with a brand new name brand one EVEN if the one you have is brand new. If the marker is used reset all the settings to factory default.
