I prefer speedball. Much more fun to me, and I like the competitive side. Woodsball/scenario is a nice break from my normal play though.

I'm one of those weird people that don't care. I'll go play whatever paintball I can. I'll wear the same thing regardless of what field I'm on, shoot the same markers regardless of what field I'm on, etc.
My job is to be an asshole. I excel at the position.

I agree. I like woodsball also, but I have a really short attention span... I blame television.

I don't mind a few games of speedball. Usually when I'm waiting for people or at the end of the day to blow off paint. However a whole day of speedball on the same course gets boring to me.

On the opposite side ... I don't want to play the same woodsball course all day (except scenerio) and would like a little speedball to break up the show.

I do like the hybrid areas. Small marked off fields with mounds or thinned out small area of woods with obstacles. About 200' by 100'.

Woodsball is traditionally a "slower" format than speedball, but bigger games/scenarios can be nonstop action. We had one this past fall where the morning objective was moving along a predetermined line w/ 8-10 flag stations along the way - hang your flag & move to the next flag. As an attacker our respawn (instant) was at the last flag we took, as a defender their respawn (instant) was the next flag behind the current objective. As we took each flag our respawn moved up one & theirs moved back one. It was a two hour long speedball game, which was great for paint sales, lol. So depending on the scenario format, a game of woodsball can be very much full of action w/ very little downtime. Overall, though, as an older guy I don't mind a few lulls in the action during the course of a day,.
