I got back from Castle Conquest around 9pm, took a shower, and went to sleep. Didn't get up as early as I would have liked to, so my gear sat in my car for most of the day, which was in the sun in over 100 degree weather.
When I got up I went out and grabbed my tanks out of my car and brought them in to make sure they were ok. Checked them over, and I just noticed my 90/45 Ninja has a 1 1/2 inch long crack on the body. It's about a centimeter wide, and maybe 1/2 a centimeter deep. The tank still has about 1,000psi in it. I'm going to call Ninja tomorrow about it, but I can't get it out of my head. Should I be worried? Bleed out the tank? Am I lucky this thing hasn't blown up on me? What should I do?
It looks like the burst disk did not let off the pressure in the tank thus causing the outside skin to crack. Very dangerous!
I have no doubt that Ninja will correct this. Never leave your tanks in the heat. The burst disk on this tank has obvioulsy failed to pop, letting off the pressure in the tank thus causing the damage.
