Maybe find a way to make the tank sit lower? cut out the bottom, use elastic as a bottom so that it sits lower on your back?

I think a sideways tank solves the problem the best, thats what i'm gonna do anyway.

People will say, "How many times did you get shot there"
"None, that is my pod pack"
I would try a camelbak (I actually am) but when I look at the new Camelbaks, it doesn't look like there is a whole for the top of the tank to come out of for the remote???
Anyone know something?

You could get a Camelback with extra room in it for a bicycle helmet and stuff the tank in there like I do.

You could look at other remotes. Do you have the style with the longer knob about the same diameter as the tank reg, or the one with the wide flat knob? Might want to try the other kind.
