I'm guessing it's for all music.

I have to say, I enjoy all forms of music. Some people say they hate country or something like that, I say, there's a time for each tune.

Since I play the Viola (formally) and the guitar and bass on my own (taught myself), I can relate to lots of different kinds of music.

There's something to take from all genres, although I personally do dislike country, besides Cash. Personally I try and listen to everything.

Lately I've been jamming along to some of my favorite RHCP songs and I've been listening to a lot of OutKast and Dylan.

I was assuming artists and stuff, there's that other instrument thread that sees sporadic use.

Its for anything about music.

I play trumpet and am trying to learn guitar. I love rock music. I don't really like any other genre that much.

Played sax, tried and still trying guitar, and also moving towards DJing/Mixing/Production.

I'll give credit to any genre, but I don't like them all.

Are you agitating my dots? 10%

I come from a very musically inclined family...
Father and oldest brother: trombones
Mother: Accordion
Me: Bagpipes, penny whistle (tin whistle)
Sister: Piano, Clarinet and Bagpipes
My wife: Sousaphone
My 20yr old daughter: violin
My 12yr old daughter: Violin, Cello, Clarinet, Alto Sax, [learning the] Bagpipes, wants to play French Horn next (never guess that she wants to be a music teacher, eh?........lol)
My 9yr old daughter: Clarinet

All of us sang/sing in chorus in school.

As to music, believe it or not I'm big into Classical bit bigger into Metallica, Disturbed, etc.
The girls....well.....they listen to 'girl' tunes.....lol.

I recently got some new CDs. I got Metallica S&M, Judas Priest Nostradamus, and Megadeth The World Needs A Hero. Great stuff.

The easiest way to describe my tastes would be "indie" i guess.

I hate using it as a genre.

Especially since right here I'm using it to describe the whole scene of independent and little known artists rather than the usual form of rock its associated with.

Favorite band is Bloc Party.

Favorite rapper, Aesop Rock.

And as far as more "out there" kinda stuff goes, Animal Collective or like, Gruvis Malt. The first one being the "weirder" one.

Anyone else like obscure stuff?

And oh, I'm well aware Bloc Party isn't obscure, tho you may label them "indie".

Guitarists out there should check out Andy McKee, absolutely amazing!

I like everything except country. Flogging Molly, Devildriver, Immortal Technique, Natasha Bedingfeild, all are on my iPod.
Paintball isn't my hobby, it's my lifestyle. Go hard or go home.
