Hello All,

I have an A-5 Stealth w/ a Flatline barrel and I was thinking of upgrading it by adding some sort of sight. I find that my aim in terms of point/fire isn't that good and was wondering which "aiming aid" was best.

I'm not exactly sure how a red dot works, but I have heard it is the best alternative for a laser (since lasers are banned in many places).

Looking down a scope seems to be time consuming when u want to just point and shoot so... suggestions?

thanks!

You might try looking over in the sniper sub fourms for sights, clicky. Theres all kinds of info on sights there. I personaly have a NcStar red dot havent gotten to use it yet, but look forward to.

I love my red dot Sight it works pretty well it just takes time to sight in and since you have an A5 you will need a raiser and a offset to use it easily. If you have any Questions about the raiser or offset PM me.Hope i could help.

Red dots. Sights with magnification are often too powerful to effectively use for shooting, and lasers aren't allowed at most fields, not to mention that you can be spotted pretty easily while using a laser. Red dots let you quickly see where your marker is pointed, but don't magnify past your effective range, and don't get you spotted as easily (glinting lenses can get you spotted, so just be aware). Just try to use both eyes open, or get an open red dot (the holographic kind) to avoid tunnel vision.

Why don't you check my review for the ADCO Hot Shot, right below your post. It seems that's what you're looking for, only $25 for a durable red dot sight that will last you your lifetime.

The greatest downside for me is that I live in canada so any shipping costs etc are multiplied exponentially so getting a sight broken periodically would be very unpractical. Best choice for me would be to find one in a canadian paintball store (YAY ME)...so yeah...
