Then I might go with the red. It looks sweet:

That is the jersey. The pants are mainly black, but I just like the pattern.

What ever you do don't get matching color pants and jersey. You'll look like a complete noob :P That is unless your team requires you to wear it.

I love my newly acquired empire contacts. Very comfy. Stretch panels are the best invention ever, especially if you use a pbmafia leg harness. They do seem pretty heavy but I didn't really notice that when playing.

storytime. When I played at Boston Paintball, I went into the proshop at lunch. The guys in there saw my pants and were trying to get me to buy the matching jersey. I have the ugly desert camo color. They were cheap and I needed pants so I bought them. The jersey is even uglier than the pants. They had exactly one jersey left. When I asked what size it was, they said "It's your size." :P They were trying to convince me to buy the jersey because it was only $20. I said I wasn't interested but they pressed on, saying how if I wear the matching jersey for my pants then I will be able to pick up all the chicks, lol. It was pretty funny.

Strange I like everything about my contacts excepted the stretch panels on the knees. Mine ripped pretty fast, I've had to sew them twice. But I love them.

Smokin pants. I like them but theyre not THE lightest pants.

Those seem to be exactly the same as smart parts pants...

Please tell me you're kidding... you're not honestly that oblivious, are you?

They're not even remotely similar.

I realize the current 'trend' is to wear mismatched jersey and pants, baggy pants, baggier jersey, and all that to get bounces, but frankly, if you're playing to get bounces, you're not playing right. Play to NOT GET HIT. Any good player is shooting a brittle enough paint that it won't make a difference, except on the lucky longballs.

The Smokin pants fit tight, like a pair of baggy jeans, and are made of thin cordura and you can request hemp sometimes. You can run in them because of this- they move with you, you don't trip on them, and there's no drag between your legs as long as you wear some compression shorts to get your bits clear of your thighs. Put some Eclipse kneepads under them and maybe wear slider shorts (baseball style, not paintball-specific, trust me) and you have all the padding you need. Elbow pads are a big deal, because otherwise you'll have scars up both arms (again, trust me, I have the scars to prove it), or if you're a wimp, just not slide at all. I prefer a tighter jersey- mine actually had some spandex in it, so it would move with me, and the bagginess wouldn't interfere when I switch gun hands, it wouldn't get in my way when I reached for pods, and i could play tight without flaps of fabric giving away my position in the breeze. More fabric means more drag when you slide, too- I had a bad experience once where I had a baggy pod belt on that caught the grass, and I tumbled headfirst about 3 feet short of the snake. A chick was watching, too... I tightened up the belt for the next game, made it clean, and pumpkered 3 guys, so the wipeout didn't hurt my chances (if ya know what I mean) and the rest of the day went well, but baggy = bad slides is the moral of the story.

I recommend a shirt that's about as baggy as you wear a t-shirt when you're visiting your grandparents- if it's showing off your pecs, it's too tight, but if you can use it as a dress, far too loose. Find a pack that has lots of elastic- I use a CP 3+2+2, but I'm looking for a 2+1 pack with a padded cover like PB Mafia used to make. Find lightweight shoes with good traction. But remember, weight below your shoulders slows you down SIGNIFICANTLY, and weight above your shoulders will throw off your balance. The amount of paint you carry honestly will affect your speed just as much as your pants. For 5-man, try to get down to a hopper and a pod.

Oh, by the way- if you can find the old Evil 05 pants, with the pod loops right under the beltloops, you can carry one pod, no pack, and really cut down your time to the bunker, and your profile.

Final tip, look into APX- the pants are a bit heavier and heavily padded, but their jerseys are great and look awesome. They sell some great paint, too.

Negative Ghostrider.

They also dont rip...if you can rip a pair that is extremely impressive...I cant speak for smoking pants but im sure youll be able to say they dont rip either...the design is almost exactly the same.

That's like saying Levis are like Gap jeans... sure, they look similar...

Those SP pants are from 6 years ago. The knee panels are taller, the material is spun nylon instead of ballistic/ cordura, they don't have the kneepad compartment as far as I remember, and they have a different waist belt- and they don't resemble the new SP ones at all. The Smokin pants have a really unique velcro belt with no plastic hooks anywhere (very comfortable to slide on without bruising your hips, and won't break paint, although my hips are pretty hard as is), they are truly impossible to tear and if you do, they'll send you a new pair, they use a heavier material on the knees and often use imported hemp on the knees, and they're made independently by some guys without an affiliation to any other company. Aaaaaaaand... they go on sale frequently.

Also, SP is biting it. Hard. They're filing bankruptcy, transferring assets to GI Milsim to avoid paying creditors, folding their lines and transferring ownership of the Impulse to GI Milsim, and I'm assuming getting rid of their soft gear. However, solid chance they've started a new 'front' to make and sell soft gear- it just needs renamed for tax/ debt evasion purposes. So good luck finding SP pants in the next 2 years.

Tank'd paintball pants. Sexiest pants ever. I have them in black and pink. Anytime I go to the field, I have a million people come up to me asking which brand they are and such.

Are you agitating my dots? 10%

I love my Proto pants, they're the 07s I believe.
They're just baggy enough to cause bounces but also light enough to not slow me down a ton.

Angel Airtime pants in the Joy/leopard print were always my favorites.

70's underwear patterns ftw. Plus, hella comfy.
