What the FRAG Chuck . . . er . . . MO?

Well, hope to see you on the field. As if I ever make it to games anymore.

With Moati gone the only real reason the SpecOps community that we are dies is because we let it. Brother Mo has been vital to us but with his teachings we can carry on and spread the word on how awesome we the Special Ops players are and what real paintball means and how its ment to be played.
Let not the stepping down of our leader dampen our duties to encourge others to be as us, let not the greatest thing we hold dear be lost (that would be the amount of fun we have playing) and hope that with proper guidence our beloved Name of spec ops doesnt fall to the machine profits.

Spread the words of our dear prophet 1-i.

This is very sad news... It seemed with all that Brian had been doing, he was going to be sticking around with Spec Ops for a while. Best of luck to you man. Hope all is well.

I'm glad to have found SpecOps when I did, because I would have never continued in paintball if it weren't for the Gamefinder and the Tactics videos. In fact I was searching tactics when i was a younger fellow and it was the first one that was very helpful. I was the greatest for me and never knowing Moati personally, he gave a lot to keep SpecOps going. You will be sorely missed.
Aim for anything that is visible, most of my shots are either leg, elbow or head... that is if you see me first.

Well reading Mo's last post,it sounds as if he parted on good terms. That's a plus. Also sounds like he has a new paintball related business getting ready to start.

I'm sure he has taken Special Ops as far as he could. I wouldn't really jump to conclusions of how the new company will handel things. Look at it from this point of view:

When Smart Parts left, paintball lost a lot. Then they re-emerged as GoG. Their whole business has taken a 180*. They are basically just catering to the entry level players. I have a whole different out look on them now. It was really a change for the better in my opinion.

Perhaps maybe MO is taking this route as well. He has a good name amongst the paintball community. So expect a return with something different and maybe some of the same.

Later,
Blackrain:)

From reading the last few pages it is obvious how much SO has meant to so many. The countless teams that were started using the game finder, brigade and this forum, the lasting friendships, and all the superb gear these people were able to get. I still have my SpecOps pod and poster that I got back in 2004 when they were offering that for joining the brigade.

An end of an era for sure.

All I have left is my brigade patch :(

To all, if the forum crashes, common' over to MCB lol. It has become my internet home kinda. Until then though ;)

Dear Brian:
I understand completely, and have seen some hints in a little of what I have been reading on SO forums.
I know your not thru completely with paintball, just making a shift in your priorites.
Keep in touch let me know where your gona be playing in the future.
What little powers I have are at your disposal, If I can help in anyway.

I love mcb & have spent quite a bit of time (& money) there over the last few years - as well as a half-dozen other forums (local & national), but this forum has been my online home for the last 5 years. As long as it doesn't go anywhere it will continue to be. Like 1-I wrote, we are the community, as long as the new "owners" don't close us down then it's up to us to keep going or not.

This is where I got my beginning as well. I was just pointing out that if the forum does close (which it most likely wouldn't), it would be good to have a place to regroup and see where to go from there.

Mo, I cannot thank you and the old Spec Ops enough! I got out of paintball years ago when it started to focus exclusively on speedball. Back in 2007 I had a friend interested in playing again and wanted me to go with him. I started looking on the internet and found Spec Ops. That was the paintball I had started playing years ago, and here it was again. The Game Locator hooked me up with a bunch of friends that I still play with today. I have dealt with you on the phone when I ordered vests and accessories and know you are a man of integrity. When Spec Ops looked like it was dying as a company you brought it back. Earlier this spring when it looked like I was going to lose years worth of Brigade data, you brought it back! THANK YOU (and Spec Ops) for bringing me back into this sport that I love and for starting the Woodsball Revolution that has kept me playing. Thanks for the great products (I wish I could have bought tons more!) Thanks for providing the platform that helped us form our team: The Urban Guard. I look forward to the day when I can meet you, shake your hand and thank you in person! Best of wishes, get some rest and then Carpe Diem!
Blessed be the LORD my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle. My lovingkindness and my fortress, My high tower and my deliverer, my shield and the ONE in whom I take refuge!
