I decided that i was going to get an sp1. but i looked at the grips and thought they were ugly so i want to get new grips. I heard at pbnation that they take 45 grips what does that mean. Like 1911? does any one know where i could get some wooden ones?

EDIT: IMA Dumb dumb just pay attention to below.

To get wooden ones, your best bet is to take the stock grips off and use them as a template to make your own. I made a pair of wood grips for less than .50 with bought materials (except for the stain)

45 grips are the most common and you can find alot of different styles,[post="http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/BrowseCatalog-Start;sid=NYns3t_7YBrs3pgXNEQsdtUviiaV1xzn8jI=?CategoryName=paintball-gun-parts-and-upgrades-grips-and-grip-panels-45-grips"]Action Village 45 Grips[/post] They have abunch I don't know where to find wooden ones though.

45 grips refer to the degree of the angle.

45 doesn't actually refer to the angle, it refers to 1911 pistols I believe (which fire a .45 round). That's why you sometimes see it written as a .45 frame.

Any standard paintball grips should work. Hybrids, Dye, Virtue, all of those appear that they would fit

My PGP and Automag's frames are both 65-70* or so, and while they don't accept 45 grips, they're about the same angle as a 45 frame. If you actually take out a protractor and look at what 45* looks like, it doesn't look all that comfortable :dodgy:.
