Alright, members of The Special Ops Brigade, it is now time for you to express your opinion and let your voice be heard. There are three new available slots for positions which means it's up to us to choose these three. Think carefully about what goes on in paintball, what needs to be official and what can be incorporated into a pre-existing position. This is for us, we can count for something and be a part of
Spec-Ops history, dont let the oppurtunity pass you by, vote now.

I would say the three positions should be:

- Javelin/Tank Killer
- Driver/Tank Commander
- Gunny/Tank Gunner

I've never seen a player who uses grenades exclusively, or a player who does traps exclusively, so I don't think they should be positions.

A player who uses a pistol could easily be classified as Light Infantry, so I don't think it should be a position.

In my humble opinion, it's not the weapon you choose to carry that should define you. It's the role you play with your unit.

(Should speedball players get their own position? Naaaaaah...)

Hybrid, someone who plays speedball and woodsball the same day, his skills are a combo of everything, he has the speed of a dagger, can lay paint equal to any broadsword, needs the brains of a commander and all-around shooting skills and stable anchor a team can rely on likea sabre. His gearlist would include a speedball style gun, something electro, fast and light (DM6, shocker etc) He would use a sabre or dagger style vest, packing jsut enough to get him through games and not slowing him down at all. Probaly runs on gun air or a T2W stock.

The positions are fine the way they are. Grenadier, Tank hunter, and Engineer are all pretty much the same thing in scenario play. It's all lumped together under Special Tactics.

-Also, Tank Crewman is already a position, and they sell patches for it.
-Pistoleer is pointless since many people carry pistols in addition to their main guns. They are backup weapons. Some people carry a pistol as their primary weapon, and their position would most likely be dagger since they need to be close range and they carry less ammo.
-Your description of longsword is the same as a sniper.
-Hybrid is pointless since the positions are meant for woodsball and scenarioball.

Positions are defined by your play style and how you contribute to the team, not by what equipment you carry.

Im not fighting to make new positions, spec-ops is going to have 3 new positions and it is to be discussed what they should be on hte forum, saying we don't need any more at all and not to discuss it defeats the point.

yeah ur right having a guy run around with a pistol wont do much.
Humvees cannot be assembled into a giant battle-robot.
Must not valiantly push officers onto hand grenades to save the squad.

I think a position like the "hybrid sniper" featured in RECON might be a good new position

http://www.specialop.../snipertech.asp
heres a pic of what i am talking about

Well i did some thinking on jobs and tactics for this "hybrid sniper" His main job is Reconassince and Stalking (which can be done at the same time). The hybrid sniper will be more apart of the squad as a quick flanker (pretty much like a ghost flanker) and providing highly accuarute fire.

Gear- a few more rounds then a tradition sniper and not as much ghillie.

PM me if you have any ideas for the position

I am all for tank hunter....There is nothing more exciting then chasing down a tank with only a pistol and a LAW. I really love shooting the Razor Back...I think I had her 5 time at Aftermath2020

Defintly Engineer. One person who knows where and when to set traps. He/she is the explosives expert. In a Scenerio game he/she is the person on your team who goes light and sometimes alone to get to the enemy base to blow it. Yes a dagger could do this too, but then your dagger would have added weight slowing him down and not be able to commit fully to squad. This is the person who gets all giddy when they see a highly used trail that has nice shade where a <breakable> trip wire can be set with a booby attached. He/she carries the landmines to plant and know exactly where all are placed and relays the info to the Commander so that he/she can plan the attack to draw the enemy into the kill zone while keeping the squad away from it. He/she is proficiant at what they do, there back yard looks like a colony of moles have taken up perminant residence as a testamint to that. There shed is filled with paintball landmines, claymores, and varrious boobytraps. This is the paintball Engineer.

I also like Tank Hunter and Grenadier :D
