Well, it MAY be designed for the A-5 but this beauty works GREAT on the 3/8" dovetail rail (.22 cal or pellet gun style rail) on my ACI Maverick!

I was cruising around my hometown this weekend and dropped by a paintball shop that claims to be the only local store to carry Special Ops products. I saw a complete Longbow on the wall along with a bunch of other Special Ops branded items.

On a whim, I asked if I could see the rail in the clear plastic baggie with the "SO" logo and lucked out that it was the "Flat-top rail adaptor" I'd been eyeing online.

Installation is simple - slide the rail on. Depending on what marker you have, you may have to remove other hardware on the marker.

There are set-screws included with the rail. These seem to "push off" on whatever they bite into. It's the friction between the actual rail and the dovetail that stops it from sliding, not so much the set screws. This bodes well because it means the set screws shouldn't leave large marks.

Highly recommended!

It looks like it should work. I have the flat top rail, an A5, and a 98 custom. Im 99% sure it will work. I didnt want to take it off the A5 to try it on the 98. Via visual inspection it looks like the 98 has the same rail 3/8 rail on top just like the A5.
Hope this helps

The flattop will work on all dovetail/ .22 rails... so yeah, it'll fit on a 98c.

Do you have to screw holes in you A-5 to attach it?

No, you don't need to drill any holes. The set-screws just add some friction to prevent the rail from sliding.

Here's my ACI Maverick with the rail and a sight on:

For some reason, mine won't fit over the rail. I have the longer one though.
