That's a slick color scheme, very unique. Grats on a one-of-a-kind.

Probably about a pound or two more than a 98c. And all the screws from the body are still there so I doubt its just gonna fall apart. started out as this.

Idunno - my son & I don't exactly take good care of his (our ) Nerf guns & they hold up just fine in the closet. I guess it depends how well it is fastened to the marker. As long as the attachment points are solid & you didn't use something stupid like scotch tape & rubberbands, I don't see why it would be much different than using a cheap airsoft shell. Even if it doesn't work, you got some good practice w/ modding. Props to you for trying it, first Nerf mod I've seen on here!

Congrats on the fine looking work.

Then there is the standard..."welcome to the forums..."

Ok got that out of the way....

Yes it may not be as tough as some of the aluminum or all metal body kits out there....but it sure looks good with what you have done!

The nerf body should hold up pretty well if you managed to keep most of the original hard points in your conversion. If not it will simply break one little mounting point at a time untill you get tired of fixing it and remove it for good!
I say run with it until it crumbles! get all it is worth out of it and enjoy the compliments while you get them....then move on to a new idea and keep your look fresh.

I think you will get a couple good seasons out of it prior to complete failure.

The paint on the other hand may not hold up so well.

The impact from a paitnball might blow sections of your work right off the body. But who cares! You used acrylic paint! You have more and it is an easy fix! After a god cleaning and a bit of sanding to feather the edges you can fix the paint and no one will ever know you did.

The damn thing looks good and you obviously have the skills to keep it that way.

I look foreward to seeing you future projects.

I am seriouly tempted to try this with an old Ion.....
