I don't turkey hunt, but I nearly hit a wild turkey with my van as soon as it flew out of some bushes. SCARED the crap out of one of my clients who was riding shotgun. This darn bird nearly hit my side (drivers side) of the wind shield.

Kinda sucks too, could of had a turkey lunch right now.

oh well.

I went out this morning.
We spooked one hen out of the roost but it was cool cus the others didn't fly. Once they came out of the trees, there were about 6-8 hens no farther than 35 yards . 3 of the hens I could have reached out and grabbed (no exageration). Then two big gobblers came in but they didn't come within range. The hens ended up leaving and so did the gobblers.
Later on that morning we spooked another bird that I could have blasted but I wasn't sure if it was a gobbler.

Over all it was a pretty good day. Even though I didn't get anything.

Not a Turkey hunter, but I'll eat the heck out of em! Actually, I think I might start hunting them maybe next year. I haven't hunted since I was a kid.
