A quick question about the PMR Hi

I'll make this short, I recently got a PMR and after oiling it and such I charged it to make sure everything was fine, no leaks etc.. I did not even fire a shot as it is pretty late, I then un-screwed the tank off the marker. With no tank on the ASA I turned on the marker and squeezed the trigger, and nearly poo myslef when the marker fired..lol

I'm new to high end's, and Compressed air, so if this is normal, I'll just get away with having to buy a new pair of jeens.

Thanks guy's, =]

Many electros will hold in some air for a while after the air tank is removed, but will vent it a little later. What happened to you is generally normal.

Usually the marker holds enough air for one shot after the air source is disconnected.

But some markers (marq for instance) are designed to release all of the air.

I know my new mini leaves about one shot worth in the gun after disconnecting my air source.

My cocker does, but I normally leave my tank on my Mini and shoot it dry once I get home too, so that could be part of why I dont remember. ^_^

It is normal the gas was stored in the regulator and therefore it fired.

I gassed it up and took it off and it only holds 1 shot. It maybe because its broke in though.

yea, that happened to me with mine, it is either the reg or the boost-forward mechanism.

i think it is the reg, because it disengaged that way once, the first time i took out the bolt after playing. i unscrewed the end cap and a tiny bit of air came out, just enough for one shot, but it hasnt happened since

It's the regulator / solenoid which stores the air - so even if you have an on/off ASA, it won't stop it. :)

But yes, it is perfectly normal.
