PMR is the better buy. Smaller and not top heavy like the DM5. Also more firing modes.

Bill, You made a mistake coming here to the internet paintball community. These people will not be put off, will not accept partial answers and will hold you accountable for everything you say. They are not your typical customer. Even through all the bickering and flaming, the collective consciousness of this community sits at nothing less than the genius level. They are the highest and best of what paintball has to offer. I have trusted and turned to them for years and they have allowed me to walk among them for which I am grateful.

dm5 is built with better materials and is more reliable than a pmr which is made of some sort of polymer plastic, while the dm5 is a more solid gun-plus much better resale value as long as you put more parts into it.

dm5's and pmr's have pretty much the same resale value.Dm5 might be sold for a little more in a few cases but they're generally worth the same amount.

If the polymer parts are replaced on the pmr (Mainly the back cap) go for it.

I still have to say that a dm5 would be a better choice-or just save up and get somthing even better!
