Operation Skidmark II
Sunday November 1, 2009
OA's 41st paintball scenario game

This is a great event for everyone from beginners to experienced scenario players.

More than $2,000 in total prizes will be drawn and awarded all day long, starting at the beginning of the safety briefing.

Using their extremely successful and simplified format, there will be tanks, pyrotechnics, smoke, artillery, paint grenades, multiple missions and props, along with Generals, Commanders, Engineers, and Medics.

The Storyline

In the early morning hours of November 1, 2009, terrorist forces plan to launch an unprecedented attack on the United States. This attack is aimed at the destruction of the Niagara Falls hydroelectric plant. The terrorist goal is to eliminate electric production from this facility and to cause a blackout across the New York region, while at the same time ruining a popular honeymoon spot. The ensuing chaos will allow them to strike out against important government and financial institutions, as well as the local Victoria Secrets warehouse!

At the direction of US President Howard Sturm and Canadian Prime Minister Jean Claude LaTrec, a joint task force comprised of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police under Colonel Duwright and America's Fast Action Response Team are combining – the Mounties and FART will try to foil the terrorist attempt. Commanders Fruit and Loom have been flown in to lend foundation support. Upon arriving in the region, they face a fierce fighting force of fanatic foreign freedom fighters, who fail to flee following frequent forays from their fanciful foes. What?

Will the joint task force be able to defeat the terrorist incursion? Will the terrorist attackers be able to complete their diabolical plot? What about the lingerie? Will President Sturm appear on the L Word? It’s time for you to choose sides and help determine the outcome. Would you prefer a lifetime with microwave popcorn and DVDs or a peaceful, idyllic lifestyle in the new regime of electricity free bliss? Electricity is so

When OA's Bowie field was closed due to unforeseen circumstances, they moved, planned out the scenario for the OACC field layout and posted on the 25th of September that the scenario would be held there. I am sure they knew the closure was pending, were fighting it and started planning the scenario to be held at OACC before the official game post. The re-opening of the Bowie field is a recent development and just as un-expected as its closure. It is kind of too late to try to relocate the scenario back to Bowie after it was already planned for OACC and posted that it would be hosted there. People have already pre-registered, planning on the scenario being there. Albeit there is most likely more players closer to that field then down towards Bowie who have pre-registered, so it would not be fair to them to suddenly change the venue. Besides to help lure us Bay area people north, we get a 2 events for the price of one if you play the Law Enforcement cup event on Saturday October 24th, Skidmark II is free. Besides moving it would be like buying tickets and planning on going to a concert at Merriweather Post Pavilion and suddenly having it moved to Nissan Pavilion.

I am sure Battle of the Bulge VI will be at Bowie. How can it not be? The epic battle of The Siege of Bastogne has to be fought in and around the Bowie castle. It has to be.

I have heard talk of a possible scenario between Skidmark and Bulge to be held at Bowie. Just a rumor, nothing confirmed yet.

OACC is nice. The woodsball playing area is smaller then Bowie but they have a lot of undeveloped playing area still to build up. If you have ever been to OA's Rosedale field it kind of reminds me of a very very large field 1. Lots of man made structures and bunkers with a woods and brush mixed in. They have running water and real bathrooms. Well one men’s and one women’s with a porcelain toilet and sink and then porta johns. The speed ball fields are 2nd to none. OA has big plans for this field. It will be really cool if all their plans come together. Definitely worth the trip.
