Late is better than never. Game is this weekend!

For immediate release
BUSTIN’ BALLS FOR CHARITY III: WE’VE GOT BIG BALLS
August 26, 2007

Paintball players unite! Mersey Road, Q104.3FM and M&M Meat Shops of Dartmouth are joining forces again for the THIRD ANNUAL Bustin’ Balls event to benefit the Q104 Children’s Trust Fund. 100% of the entry fees and profits from paint sales go straight to charity! The Tippinators Paintball team will be on-hand to staff and photograph the event!

The game scenario will be a variation of the cops and robbers games we played as kids. Prisoners are worth points! The team with the best score wins the bragging rights for another year!

This will be a FIELD PAINT ONLY EVENT! Leave your supply at home! There will be Draxxus paint on hand.

Pricing:
Entry Fee is $15 per person.
Paint will be $20/bag or $80/case. FIELD PAINT ONLY!
Rental kits are available in LIMITED QUANTITIES for $10. (call ahead)
Hamburger lunch is PROVIDED.

Timetable:
Game Starts at 11am SHARP! (please arrive early to beat the lines! Ready or not, we GO at 11am!)
First half runs until 1pm.
Lunch will be from 1-2pm. (There will also be a few exhibition games, and shooting competitions)
Second half runs from 2-4pm.
Wrap-up will be from 4-4:30pm. Announcing winners of the game, raffles, and the daily total.

To date, paintballers have raised $8000 at Bustin’ Balls for the trust fund! Let’s blow the doors off this year, and show Nova Scotia that “We’ve got big balls!” (and hearts).

Bring your gear, your wallet, and your will to make a difference in childrens’ lives!

Follow Up

About 100 Brave players came down on a dark, cloudy, rainy (and potentially thunderstorming) day but were treated to a fantastic sunny day as the clouds blew away quickly and the field was ready to go!

The players and staff helped to raise $3000 for the Q104 Children's Trust Fund, bringing our total donations up to $11,000 in 3 years!

The Tippinators were on hand to ref and judge the events taking place; APE Products were raffled and we chose 12 sportsmanlike players for their daring moves, fair play and good natured attitudes all day, and drew a name from a hat to select a winner of an APE Board!

We want to thank everyone who attended; this event is a great way to give back to the local kids and we hope to do it again next summer.

hey Austin. does Q104 have any connection to Q107 located in Toronto?
If it does. why not hold a charity in the arguable capital of Canada? Toronto style.
If not. who cares? hold one anyway. ( or at least think of it. ;) )
