Have no idea where this goes, but I have a question for Flatline users. With my Apex, I've had to replace the rubber thing in the tip twice now. It gets scratched and damaged after awhile. I am wondering, if the Flatline also has a part that needs to be replaced every once in awhile from a paint ball breaking or what not.

I dont own a flatline but there is no replaceable part. The barrell essentualy has a bend in it causing backspin.

Well I belive the barrel actually has a rough edge that combined with the arc of the barrel causes the ball to spin. After long periods of time(years I've heard) i've been told it wears down.

The Flatline utilizes a rough internal design combined with a curved barrel whih gives the ball backspin and allows it to travel long distances. The flatline has no plastic peices to replace it is just solid metal. However you can only have a flatline on a model 98 or a A5

Also the flatline has its own special squeegee or if you lose it. use a rubber squeegee not a cloth one. ITs also the pickyest barrel you will ever own when it comes to paint so youll have to do some trial and error to find ones that work, use ones with thicker shells.

So if you like the distance on the apex but want it to last longer get a flatline.

I own a flatline, and believe it or not, IMPACT paint from wall mart has not broken once for me. Last time I used them I shot over a thousand balls
(big game) and not one break. And no, it has no part to replace.

The Pull Through Squeegie that comes with the Flatline is nothing Special, because the same Pull Through can be used on any Barrel.

And since the OP never replied to the question I asked about how many Balls have gone through his Flatline, Tippmann's recommendation on the Flatline, is that it be sent in to be reblasted after 20,000 to 30,000 balls have been used.

And motoguy, the Barrel on the Flatlined Cocker is Permanent, it can not be replaced.

There isn't a part in the conventional sense. The barrel works by sandblasting the inside to give the ball backspin. After about 10000-100000 shots, this needs to be refinished. However, this is free to do.

Ahem, the Flatline and All Paintball Barrels do not cause Paintballs to chop.

What youve just described is known as a Barrel Break, not a Chop.

Learn the difference....Barrel Breaks and Paintball Chops are problems that differ from one another.
