Alright fellas I usually play the "sniper" role and sometimes sabre and dagger. I have a 98c set-up for "sniping," another 98c ACT thats plan that I use for whatever, an old autococker (don't know why I bought it just wanted and autococker), and a phantom.

I what another gun that has to run of co2 (don't get to go to the field a lot, so I play outlaw a bunch and only co2 is available away from the field) for sniping and the sabre position. I was think about an A-5A2 but I would just like to know some other options that run off co2.

Thanks much, WoodsSniper

If you're looking for CO2 performance there are a few markers that come to mind:

Classic valved Automags have a reputation for being tricky to run on CO2. However, if you keep liquid out of the system they will prove to be much more CO2 friendly than many high pressure markers such as A-5s. Since they run at lower pressures they can always regulate down the output pressure from a CO2 tank. Aside from a quieter marker and more consistent velocities, The result is that you never experience any shootdown that is associated with cold weather and traditional blowback markers.

Then of course there is the gods of CO2 at Palmer's Pursuit shop. Blazers (or Typhoons if you're looking for more of a classic style) will likewise never experience the shootdown associated with high pressure markers. Unlike Automags however they are extremely air efficient and are very accepting should liquid CO2 enter the situation. Since Palmer's is a custom machine shop each marker is custom built to your specifications - anything you can think that's possible of they will do for you. Build quality is top notch and they come excellently setup with no need for after market modification.

Wow I totally overlooked that part of your post. I completely agree, Autocockers can do just fine on CO2 - just keep liquid out of the system and it will perform exceptionally well.

If you ar plannig on playing the role of saber you are going to be expected to get down and dirty. The best marker personaly for that job is The A-5. It is built for the drity and grime of woodsball. I love the durability. Just the other day I had to jump into a stream to avoid being eliminated, my a-5 got covered in mud and water and it worked fine for me.

What's your budget like?
I personally agree with Piller. I've desperately wanted a Blazer for a while now - I've heard nothing but amazing things about them. An Automag would run a close second.
That being said, there's nothing wrong with an A-5, but there's much better performance to be had if you're willing to pay for it.

If you've got money to spend, get a Palmer's Blazer.

If you don't, go for a Classic valved Automag or a pump of some sort.

I've got a blazer, and I'll vouch for them. They're amazing. I'm really more of a pump player myself, so my poor baby doesn't get the love and kills it needs, but you'll have that sometimes. If you've got a few hundred to spring on a marker, pick up a used blazer. Chances are it'll be amazing. If you've got a little more than that, 500 or 600, call palmer's directly and buy a new 2k blazer. Whichever way you go, don't count out the blazer.

Use the cocker. Get a barrel or not. They are great sniping markers, I know. Both of my old Rivals had one and there is nothing more frustaering than hearing the cocker and then walking off the field. They use to terrorize us so bad that you would hear it and walk off before checking if you got hit. And that was becuase it wasn't if I got hit but where I got hit.
