Task Force Ranger 2
Our 46th Scenario Game
Sunday, July 11, 2010
This event will take place at our Chesapeake City location
More than $2,000 in total prizes will be distributed throughout the day, starting at the beginning of the safety briefing.
Utilizing the format that has made our scenarios so successful, we have added even more missions and props, including tanks, pyrotechnics, smoke, artillery, multiple missions and props, along with Generals, Commanders, Engineers, and Medics.
“Rangers Lead the Way” is not just a motto, it is a fact. Each U.S. Army Ranger battalion is capable of deploying anywhere in the world with only 18 hours notice. This scenario is Part 2 of one of our popular hypothetical modern day Ranger stories.
After taking out the Somali warlord Mohammed Aidid and other top-level leaders of the Habr Gidr clan in 2008, the members of Delta Force and Ranger units known as Task Force Ranger (TFR) were transferred to Afghanistan. The Taliban, in hiding for years, is now openly attacking coalition forces and trying to destabilize the government in Kabul.
The battles are small scale, but deadly. Groups of Taliban fighters, Al Qaeda operatives, and tribesmen under local warlord chiefs have formed a temporary alliance to take complete control of one of the provinces of Afghanistan near Pakistan. Once that is accomplished, they plan to declare a separate Pashtun nation inside of Afghanistan and start a civil war. With all of the other coalition forces tied down in other areas of the country, Task Force Ranger is the only unit available to stop the alliance.
In Somalia, TFR ran into an ambush that cost the team many good soldiers. Two years later they are fighting in a different desert against a different terrorist enemy, but the stakes are the same.
Pick a team. Make history. Change the world.
