Just wanted to see if anyone else had and issue with the ION Board. The marker is less then 2 weeks old and the board died. We were playing a 2 day Scenario and I noticed during the night the marker turned off. I know it shuts down after a period of time on its own but it would not turn back on. I put in a new battery and still did not work. The next day I took the battery out and re-connected it and the marker turned on. Gassed it up and fired 2 shots and it died. :)

I would try different brand of battery. Other than that, call smart parts.

The very first Ion I picked up had something similar, I turned it on in the parking lot to make sure it would. Then after that it wouldn't turn on no matter what battery was in it.

So I took it to the shop I picked it up at and told them. They check for themselves and replaced it free of charge.

That's one reason I like that store, they took back 2 reg's today alone cause one was in a bad batch and the other one I just couldn't turn the pressure down. What do they do? Replace both, and charge the difference for the more expensive one I'm now using.
Bad spellers of the world untie!!!

Smart Parts should warrenty that or the shop you bought it at should so call them up. If not then upgrade with the Blackheart board.

Holy freaking necropost!!

There, nothing could make it stand out any more! ;)

But on a side note, I have something to add to this thread. My Ion works fine with one Duracell 9volt battery (fully charged), but does NOT work with a different Duracell 9 volt battery (fully charged).

This has baffled some of the guys for a while. We lick the battry to make sure it's full, we use it with another gun; nothing can explain why the Ion baord won't work with it. Point is, Ion boards are very unpradictable. Mine enters setting mode 50% of the time :D
