I just want to clear something up, because your second paragraph is confusing me.
Were you and your friends standing in Front of the Tape Line or Behind the Tape Line, because if you and your friends were standing in front of the Tape Line, then you and your friends became Fair Game, thus the reason why that player lit you guys up.
Now, if you and your friends were behind the Tape Line, then the player had no business shooting at you.
What tape line????? Our little field just happens to be a very large backyard. We were all standing at the very edge of the town and on the main trail. I'll have to get a photo of the entire town but until then this is a bit of the town.
From this photo we where about 75' to the right and in the middle:
From about the same standing position and looking down the field (to the left):
(that tape line was a barrier that an engineer setup during a scenario).
All of us being re-killed a couple of times was not a big deal, basically it was, we are out!, we are out!, we we already dead, how many time were we shot and where, nice shooting but the real enemy is still out there, and a friendly "I'm going to hunt you down next game". If it had been a group of some other peole thing may have been a little different.
When were out playing, it is known and told to all players to expect being shot 3-5 times at very close range per elimination and even more if they don't call out, put their gun up, and get out of there (alot of us have guns so loud we can only hear the gun and a little behind us). I've been shot in the back of the neck 3 times at less than 15' by friendly fire. Sure it hurts a little but you go back, respawn, and rejoin the battle. Between the games you discuss the game, show off you bruises and welts, and congradulate your shooter (even if it was a friendly). A few people play one shot for an elimination and 5 is over shooting but for us 3-5 is normal, more is an accident, dead men being shot, its all part of the game. Camera people with their bright clothing and regular calling of themselfes coming through, are garenteed to be lit up somehow even though no one is shooting at them. Some people call the way we play extreme but if you can't tank it, don't come. Thats why when these kinds of things happen, it no big deal, we all have come to accept it as just another game.
