Sorry t0ast, but I did get my package today:

The bottom of the reg was marred pretty bad (someone wasn't being careful with their wrench, which I knew about prior to the purchase) so I fixed it up. She looks pretty nice I think.

This is it with the ASA I got for it.

Needs a different pump kit, I think, but other than that I'm extremely happy with my purchase ;)

Now I just need to get out there this weekend and shoot some people with it. I'm not even going to bring my gear box like I usually do, just this, a tank, hopper, and my mask.

Out here (in paradise :|), there were four MiniComps and four Phantoms on the field on Saturday. I've looked at them but I think I prefer the Phantom. But then again, I also prefer the look of my Mini over everything else (mech/electric) too. I guess I like nice round tubes that shoot paintballs. I'm happy with my Phantom. I don't think that I'd trade it for a MiniComp. Personal preference.

So I need a new breech for the Franken-phantom. Can't decide if I want to get another black one, or just go ahead and get the green one and complete the green look. Also, I got a Wevo under-kit on Saturday from a guy at the field b/c I fell in love with it when I used Deb's. It was smooth, short and so easy. It's black.

Aloha, Doug

So who wants to donate to the "give Tom a post 2k pump kit so he can have a good open class pump' fund?

Evening everyone...

New to the neighborhood, and I had a question regarding mods for the Sheridan Pirannah Long barrel pump guns...

Picked up my gun in 1991, and currently have a bare minimum of mods for it (12" barrel extension, Muzzle brake, 7 oz CO2 bottle w/Butt plate, and 200 round hopper). I haven't had the chance to fire it in a while, but aside from a few scratches gained from normal crawling through the mud, she looks just about brand new. With everything attached, it kind of resembles a pump-action rifle (I like Sniping...what can I say). I'm going to take it in to be serviced this weekend, but I was wondering if there were any aftermarket mods still made for the PLB to bring it into competetiveness with the newer markers.

Warmest Regards,

Enth

You could get a rear velocity adjuster... thats about it, I think. You could always look into aftermarket grips. I have some battle grips, they are REALLY nice. PMI rubber grips are also fantastic. An auto-trigger is the only thing I can think of to make it more 'competitive'... personally, I would remove the barrel extension, but thats because they add no range and are a detriment to my efficiency since I play a lot of 12gram games.

PPS is amazing.. but they are expensive.. If you have money to burn, DO IT!

Just wanted to know, does anyone here actually use their auto-trigger? It just seems like a bordering on useless "feature" since you cant hit a thing while pumping rapidly while holding down the trigger.

I was being a bit of an AT whore at the tourney on the weekend, and I could hit stuff ok.

It was kinda funny, at an all pump game you sorta hear a shot every second or so... then someone calls out a shot to me, I turn and PAKPAKPAKPAKPAK... 7 BPS fury :D

(At that point I was breaking paint in the barrel, and therefore compensating by volume :P)
