Well tell me what you think of it so far. It still needs bumpers mirrors and some interior work, but I think it looks pretty nice. It has a 383 stroker in it, and that spins the tires pretty well. Posi-trac rear end with 3.73 gearing ratio. Flowmaster exhaust system. And a 700 R4 transmission.

Don't just leave me hanging!! if you don't like it state why.

I like it...but I'd say lower it a little and get a paintjob to make it even better! ;)

Looking nice...I was worried when at first glance I saw your rims. BUt I looked closer and you have a respectable profile on your tires. I have no respect for guys who put those super-low profile tires on their trucks......Yuck.

Uh Tenacious thats new paint, and anyone who lowers a truck is absolutely insane. I might lower the rear end to level it but not for a shorter truck.
Thanks I.K.E. A bunch of people have been saying It needs low profile tires, but in my opinion they look terrible and make the car ride so rough.

This is what it looked like before the new paint camePosted Image

My first car was a '68 Chevy C20. I loved that baby. Tree fell on it and Dad sold it. But I loved that thing....

I think me fixing this one up got my dad hooked on doing it. He told me when we are finished with this one we are redoing another pickup and possibly an old Cyclone we have. I'll post pictures of this truck when we put the bumpers and stuff on it.

I like it, looks very good so far, but I agree, the rims just do not match the truck. I think some old school Craiger SS rims would look beautiful on it. Props for going with an original color scheme :) I would lower it a little IF ITS 2WD ONLY just to fill out the wheel wells a little. But since you do not want to do that, I would recommend some meatier tires just to fill in the wheel wells. My favorite thing to see on those trucks are the small profile mirrors and shaved door handles. Other than that, looks to be a beautiful restoration job. A+

Yeah...looking at it more....I'd suggest some glossy black steel wheels with chrome lugnuts. That'd be delicious....

Eh. Doesn't do it for me. Too plain. Its nice, but.. it just looks like a mid level new truck from 1984.

I like it alot. I am a die-hard fan of old chevies. It does need a leveling kit though. It is suffering from " shortbed syndrome". The back ends always sits higher on them. My 95 ford was the same way. Shortbed, single cab, and the tailgate was about 4" higher than the hood. See my avy to the left.

Again- nice truck.
