Hey guys,

Im pretty new to the speedball thing but have been into bushball for some time. I want to buy a good speedball gun (QUIET, accurate, blah blah blah) I live in canada so when I tell you my budget is anywhere from $400-500 dollars know that it is not american. I would appreciate some good suggestions. I was looking at the Mini but im not sure. Also anyone know of any new woodsball innovations coming around the corner that I could better put my money towards?

Have you taken a look at the BT TM7? It's basically a Mini in a Mil-Sim shell.

If that doesn't suit your fancy, look at used NXT shockers, Nerves, older DMs/PMs, older Egos.

ego5 is my bet, IMO it is the best bang for the buck, goes for 200-350USD dont know how much that would be in canadian.

I feel that it is usually better to get an older high end gun as opposed to a newer mid or low range gun. Alot like buying a truck or something, a older fullsize truck is better than a new Ranger, it can do more and has more options

I own quite a few different markers, including some Tippmanns and "speedball" markers, and I have to say I really like my Mini. Great for any style of play, amazing value and stock performance. Some people don't like the grip or feel, but if you do, the Mini is a great choice for a marker that can give you great performance as-is, and grow with you if you want to upgrade things. No matter the game or conditions, if I'm not playing pump, I find myself going for the Mini more than any other marker I own. Ego is also nice, as are some used Protos or Bob Longs, but if you want to go new, you can't go wrong with the Mini.

Agreed, a Mini is a great starter speedball marker!
