Maybe I'm just to finicky, but I aired up my ion for the first time, and directly underneath the breach I have a slight air leak. I played for 3 hours on my 92/45 tank, so it's not a big deal, but I'm OCD and it'll bug me till I fix it. I ripped open the gun and realized that it's probably the QEV, but I tightned up the hoses and it's still doing it. Any suggestions for me? Should I coat the house or the fittings with threadlock or something :P?

The first thing I would check would be to make sure that you didn't mess up the QEV. They are really delicate and if you over-tighten them they WILL break and will cause a small air leak like you are getting. What type of QEV do you have?

Secondly I would replace the hose that runs to the QEV cause it might have a small hole or crack in it.

Try those and see what happens...

I have the 360 QEV, it came installed on the ion I just bought. I'll replace that hose when I get home and let you know how it goes!

How do I know if my QEV is broken?

There's nto really a way to know unless you try someone else's QEV on your marker. But before you go buying a new QEV, check your rear banjo fitting, and perhaps replace the battery. Also, try teflon tape on the QEV, and if it doesn't leak anymore, you probably overtightened the QEV and will have to use teflon tape everytime you reassemble the Ion.
