Well, a friend of my dad bought an ION with a Feak kit and an Evo and decided to bring it out to shoot it to show off. he airs it up, and it wont shoot more than 20 yards. dont matter how you adjust the velocity, it has no range. he also complained with the accuracy. Its a Freak Kit, so i dont know what he is doing wrong.

But, heres the part where you get to bash him. He was using some paint from Dicks Sporting Goods ( god knows how long it was sitting, it was already dimpled), and he was using CO2. I repeat, he was using CO2.

So, what would cause it to have such a low an unadjustable velocity? The CO2 freezing up the seals? im sure the inaccuracy is from the bad paint.

befoe anyone posts, NO SMART PARTS BASHING. i hate it when people waste time by bashing something they have no buisiness in. AND, IS THIS A GOOD TRADE FOR THE A5 IN MY SIG??? If i can figure out the problem, i may think about getting it from him.

Oh dear he just murked the o-rings in it. The gun is probably destroyed too. But you need to run it on air to see if it is still alive.

i really doubt it was the co2 freezing up anything
it was that the tank was empty

try again with a full HPA or LPA tank

Dunce: he dont know that you have to use Air in them , not CO2. im sure hes run plenty through it trying to "fix" it

Not You: i dont know how full it was, but i know he does not have any form or Compressed Air. He uses CO2 exclusiveley.

would a low battery affect the range that much? oh, and he said that it would shoot fine in semi, but it would slow down all of a sudden....kinda like: pop pop pop pop pop....pop......pop.....pop....... shootdown from the CO2? i dunno.

yes, the battery can do that
the capicator won't be getting as much power, so at first, it would have plenty of power to move the noid, but after a few shots, it would lose said power, and couldn't "refill" as fast
change battery, use air, try again

i figured the dwell was jacked up by the way he said the ROF was going. thanks for confirming that.

i dont know the extent of the damage, but when he said he was using CO2, i felt like stabbing him in the face

Oh, OK. ill tell him to replace it. i dont think hell want to switch over to HPA, he has enough CO2 tanks to kill himslef with. That means i may be able to buy it from him or trade for it for pretty cheap.

Go to CO2 with an anti syphon.

If it still cycles it should not be damaged. The worst that is likely is to need to replace the circuit board and solenoid.

Dodgy paint can be a problem, and low batteries can cause some strange situations.

It possible it's just the CO2. How cold was it when he was shooting? How much messing with the dwell did he do? What about the Rate of Fire(recharge rate)?

it was quite cold when he was shooting it, but i dont know any specifics. I have no clue how much monkeying with the dwell he did. i dont even think he knows what that is.

I just remembered: he was gonna go play with it some time this week. i hope he decided against using this gun. otherwise, im pretty sure he has royally screwed it.
