I remember seeing someone who had made a SWAT shield for paintball. He actually made a few. I dont remember what forum it was on so I am just gonna ask everywhere. If you could help me find the pics of these shields it would be greatly appreciated.

I know how to make one I am just looking for the pictures of the shields that were made by someone on one of these forums. I am not sure if it was this one, millsimzone, UMS or the OG. But if you have seen these pics before you would remember them.

Yeah people forget that and will find plywood or something and pick it up. Even if they put it down later it is part of their equipment until the end of the match so you can walk up to it shoot it once and they're out. They'll put up one hell of a fight but you're right in the end.

That's not entirely true. Some fields, the rule is "If you brought it on the field with you". Other fields (what most are going to, nowadays) use the rule of "If you are carrying or wearing it". That's why most tournaments won't call you out if an opponent shoots the empty pod you threw down a few seconds before.
This is my sig. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My sig is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. My sig, without me, is useless. Without my sig, I am useless. I must type my sig true. I must spell better than my enemy who is trying to judge me. I must type before he ridicules me. I WILL... My sig and I know that what counts in this forum is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, nor the splatter we make. We know that it is the hits that count. WE WILL HIT... Before the Admins, I swear this creed. My sig and myself are the defenders of my forum. We are the masters of our enemy. WE ARE THE SAVIORS OF MY PROFILE. - Tippmann Owner #pi

Would the 'equipment' ruling mean that if someone shot my Manual Distraction Device (mask on a stick) or the mini-periscope I use to peer around corners and through windows, I'd be out? 'Cause... that'd suck.

The general rule is that if you are carrying it & it gets hit, you're out as well. So yes, those kinds of props or the little periscope would count you out, if they got hit.

Fell,
For the "Idiot on a Stick" old school term, no it's considered abandonded equipment if deployed and you're 5' away MINIMUM, you can't play the same bunker with an idiot. As far as peering tools go, yep you're out, that's like getting a hopper shot. You shouldn't really be using that stuff while getting fired at anyway, but yeah if a guys catches it you're gone.

I honestly think the only people who should carry shields are refs, and even then, only if the players are shooting him/her alot
