Alright, so here's the low-down. I got bored today and decided to make a new Brigade Tag, I searched around and found the Military Call Sign page on Wikipedia, and I decided that it was pretty legit, so I wanted to post it on here just to see what crazy combo's we get with the system. Here's how I did mine. I took my Three Initials [MDR] and used the list to come up with my Call Sign: Mike Delta Romeo.

To my knowledge, it's the only phonetic alphabet in use. Call it what you will, I just refer to it as "phonetic alphabet" because there aren't any others to use or compare against.

(With English characters anyway).

I didn't use it, but just went with standard phonetics since I know it.

There are variants, this is the agreed NATO phonetic alphabet.

Some historic variations

Police have been know to use localised variations such as LAPD using names:
