Alright... I guess I'll go.

Seriously. If you live within a 40 hour drive of Hubbard, OH (I'm looking at you Seattle, San Diego & Edmonton) then you owe it to yourself to make this event. The money you spend on gas is offset by free camping, great guys/gals, awesome field & rad paintball.

That's right, I used "rad" :nododgy:

Hey guys, I recently moved to Columbus, OH and have been dying to play some senarios in the area. About how far is Columbus from Hubbard and will World at War 4 be a camping event? Thanks guys.

It should be about a 3 hour drive +/- depending on where you're at in the Columbus area. Check the fields website for exact directions: LINK.

Yes, camping is free at the site. There are 2 full-on bathrooms w/ running water in the "Snack Shack" but no showers. At large events like WaW there should be plenty of people camping there the night before. Visit the fields forums & get signed up, lots of information will be floating around there in addition to the ARC website Chappy linked to.

Hope to see you at the Front!

I'll definitely be there. Can't wait to play an Ohio senario :) Any particular side people are going to join/the most fun from past experience?

There are the four different teams available, but as far as I know only one established scenario team, 1st Strike, has declared which one they'll play for so far... NKGB (w/ possibly one more team leaning that way). Just off the top of my head I would expect at least 7 legit scenario teams making the game, likely more due to the size of the event in the past. Hopefully all of them balance out well among the 4 available teams.

We haven't even talked about what we're doing yet, I'd like to wait to see which teams go where. I'd love to play along side 1st Strike on the Soviet squad but if the other heavyweight lands there this early I'd hate to be a bandwagon guy. For my money, none of the regular groups are bad to play w/, but I do have my favorites :D. Again Incisions, check out the BF forums & keep an eye on what sides the scenario teams declare for.

Regardless of which spy you choose to be, you're gonna have fun.

Ha, I appreciate it. But if I were, I wouldn't be able to play in the best event of the year! It's an internal struggle between good & good. At least this way when I do PR for the game it's considered unbiased ;).

I sure wish we had more paintball fields that would produce scenarios here in Alberta. The only one I have found out about so far is Silver Creek Paintball, which due to a lack of time and money, I haven't been able to check out yet. But they are producing a Scenario this april, so maybe I can scrounge together some money to go :)

Like I wrote, the 40 hour drive from Edmonton is worth it . Tell you what, if you end up making it down here for the game (or any game this year), I'll pay your fee for camping at the field :dodgy:.

Well, well... looks like another team has declared its' allegiance: LINK. Two solid teams leading two different spy groups, should be fun. Hope the other two groups fill up nicely.

Quick question: What time do these games usually start? I looked but couldn't find it on the website, I am probably just missing it.

Thanks!

Yup... you missed it: LINK.

Keep in mind, this is not a typical game. Most games have a briefing at 9:30ish & game start at 10ish - they may vary depending on who is producing. But this one requires a little extra effort at the beginning so things are modified accordingly.

Hope to see you there Invictus!

I am not sure I am going to this one (but I hope to). I was asking in reference to the 26th, and i was looking on the Battlefront Website.

Ahh... pardon my confusion. The schedule should be as I noted in my first response - 9:30 brief & 10:00 start (if I find out anything different then I'll update). Best to be there well before 9 anyways to make certain you are ready.

Side note: as much as I'd like to see you make Kelly's because it's a lot of fun... if you had to choose between the two, make it to WaW.
