Mel, how much land are you looking for? And, what type for that matter? Parking will need to be addressed I assume?

To run a decent sized scenario or big game. 15-20 acres or more would be nice.

Depending on where the field is. parking is an issue. asphalt/concrete would be really great, but gravel would be nice.

Anything else would create problems.

I have parked on mud, grass and wood chips before. These three make a mess of nice vehicles.

I do have an option at Action Jacks, but I would need all RSVP before I could set the event up. which I can't do anything about the pricing for the event or paint prices.

Found this spot near Holiday Lake, we have the ok to use. Hope to get one possibly two out of it this season.Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image
Now keep in mind, phone pix, not the greatest. And this is from one spot just rotating, I would like to get out there again to get some better ones.

Old growth timber with the usual briar patches, but looks to be about it. Too much canopy to get a whole lot of green to come up. Can't wait to see it in mid summer!

We also just got 11 acres near Rock Creek to use too. Not really the ideal layout, but we will at least try it out, who knows, we might end up liking it!

Those pics look great actually for a phone.

I'm unfamiliar with Holiday lake and rock creek. even though I'm from Newton lol.

How big is the area at Holiday lake?

I don't actually know how big the Holiday Lake area is. We didn't scout it to deep, there is a deep creek running on the west side and a natural shallow ravine on the east side of the area we were in. It is a leisurely ten minute walk from south to north, and there is plenty of natural cover from downed trees.

Ok, did some checking, it is approx. 500-600 yards north-south and 400-500 yards east-west. Now this is only a small piece of the overall area which is approx 75% of a hectare. A lot of land, and we have looked at a minute portion of it.

So how do you live in an area and not know what is around you? lol

i really wish that there was a way that we could use my land down south... just the amount of money that we would have to put into it would be rediculous.

If I can gain access to the old ACP field and my stuff is still there I'm sure I wouldn't miss it if we put it on your land.
