Story line

The war game has been going on longer then anyone ever imagined. It is now a win or die situation. Millions have already died, ships have been sunk, and entire units have been wiped out, countries that once were are no longer. While other countries are still waging a war what they don’t realize is that Germany and the United States are ready for the final roll of the dice to see who can prevail and see who lives in shame.

The armed forces of Nazi Germany are collapsing. General Patton’s 3rd Army is driving deep into the heart of the Third Reich. But Hitler has one last card to play. German scientists have refined enough weapons grade Uranium-238 to make two atomic bombs. If it can be assembled and installed on the new V-3 rocket, London and Minsk can be threatened, or even destroyed. The problem is that the plane carrying the Uranium was shot down as it approached the launching base for the V-3’s. On the other side of the world the Americans are in the final stages of The Manhattan Project. They could also use the uranium to gain control of the atomic race.
German Elite Brandenburger and Fallshirmjager units must locate all of the fissionable material before the invading Americans arrive. Local units are crippled by fuel shortages, and must wait for the limited production from a synthetic fuel plant to operate vehicles.
U.S. Intelligence knows what is at stake and has dispatched their own commandos, special OSS teams, to beat the Germans to the prize. Unfortunately, in addition to finding the U-238, they are also trying to acquire all the intell that they can on German advanced weapons systems.
Axis and Allied agents are in the same area carrying blueprints of various jets and liquid fueled rockets, along with secret plans for assaults on the enemy.
Both sides are stretched thin trying to capture it all. To make matters worse, neither side can simply occupy the entire area, as they have outrun their supply lines and are low on gasoline themselves. Both American and German planes and tanks are foraging for the last drops of German fuel to keep moving.

Commanders

The Axis side will be led by Russ "The Bear" Gilley from Steel Reserve. Russ has been playing paintball for 8 years. He has Commanded 1 game, XO'd several and has been a Field Commander more then he can remember. Steel Reserve is an Associate home field team at Sherwood Forest.
The Axis side will have an enormous amount of experience at both playing and leading a side to victory.

Leading the Allies will be Jeff "Deathdancer" Cook from Team WOW. Jeff has stepped up for the second time in the Command spot. He has XO'd a few games as well. He has been playing paintball for 4 years and is eager for the game to begin.
Team WOW has played at Sherwood Forest for many years and they are very familiar with the field and what needs to be done to ensure a victory for their side.

You won't want to miss this game! Pick your side, get your registration in, and let the game begin!

Joe has built some sweet additions since last year! If you haven't been to Sherwood in a while or ever, don't miss this game! Castle city is wired for special effects.

I am looking forward to the game. I haven't played at Sherwood since Deadlands Exodus in Oct 2009. I kind hope Joe decides to show off some of the new lighting on Friday night so we have a chance to see how it will change the game play.

That is good to know Medic. Sounds like it will be a target rich environment. Hopefully Joe's improvements to the field will bring a lot of new faces to the night game this year.
