The Action Ghillie made by Spec Ops is what im reviewing today. I recently Purchased the Action Ghillie because i tried using my traditional Bushrag Ghillie suit while paintballing. I noticed multiple things about the action ghillie that would intrest some of you dedicated snipers. I know it interested me.

I was sceptical about trying the action ghillie because i thaught that it wouldnt blend into the surounding environment and i thaught it didnt have very much potential because it didnt break up the outline of you body as much as a regular Burlap ghillie did. So i purchased a complete action ghillie suit and put it to the test.

My first game with this suit i played like a regular light rifleman. i realized that whenever i reloaded or stopped and got down to listen and look around that people would not see me and start walking up to me not knowing i was there. they would get about 10 feel away and i would just unload like a newbie would because i had not mastered the Ambush Tactics yet. But still i could catch every one of them off guard and get them out. I also didnt hide very well because i didnt quite know the true Ambush Sniper abilities.

I was Sceptical about Snipers in Paintball. I thaught that it wasnt possible to be a sniper in paintball cause my burlap ghillie would not allow me to move fast through the trees if i needed it. I thaught that it was also not too practicle for 1 guy in a ghillie to ambush a squad of 5 or more and still win. I was prooved wrong. I was still a Newbie and the Ambush Sniper Postition and i could still get out whatever came into my ambush. At first i would ambush them while they were in front of me because your heart gets going and you get excited and you just want kills. I would get out alot because of that little mistake. Once i started realizing that a good Sniper lets his ambush walk past them i tried it.

I have never seen old guys jump so high in my life. When you shoot one of them in the back or in the back of the head he or she will jump in the air and then the rest of his buddies think it came from the front so they start shooting forewards. Wrong move for them.

Time and time again the Action Ghillie prooved itself to me. I was becoming Invisible to the untrained unafraid regular player. They knew nothing of the Ambush Tactics so they didnt expect a thing. Now everyone knows to be slow moving and look at every bush and be very quiet because they know that sooner or later they will get ambushed again.

Now i am a well practiced Ambush Sniper and i recomend the Action Ghillie i havnt played a game without it ever since i purchased it. Even if your new or young you still will get more kills because people cant see you which in turn gives you a major advantage. I cant wait for the future of paintball when there are more Action Ghillie's out there ready for the unsuspecting victoms of an Ambush.

is it really hard to put together? I know that everydedicated sniper puts all the time he can into modifying and making his ghuillie but on my kit it said about 3 hours....2 weeks and a @#$%ed up back later it turned out good. Is there anyway that one of you guys could send a link on how to put it together? Because i was going to get one and was waiting for somebody to post something about the action ghuillie and fter about 50 posts it sounds pretty good so yea.

I have been very interested in the Action Ghillie system from SpecialOpsPaintball.com so I am glad to read a reasonably well written review of the ghillie. I think the construction of system is very creative and unique. I have been utilizing some of the concepts in the system to build some prototypes before I shell out the bucks to get my own. I happen to have some of the base fabric and as a test I built a hopper ghillie using the Action Ghillie idea. It really looks good. I have just one day of play with it, but things seem promising.

I play in a very sparse, desert like area so some of my concerns are how adaptable this concept is to a low vegetation environment. Much of my cover is rocks, sagebrush, and dry grass. I wonder if the Action Ghillie is suitable in my environment. Since SpecialOpsPainball.com appears to be based (at least partially) in SLC, I expect we are playing in similar environments. I would love some feedback on the system in a more sparse environment.

Interesting...

They offer them in multiple color schemes, one of which is geared for desert with a lot of tans and browns. You should ckeck out the available options and see which match your environment.

Well I have the gun kit and I followed the one for the regular suit. (by the way I need to get around to adding my opinion on it)
Scroll to near the bottom and you should be fine. It is true with what they said, I easily assembled the gun kit after staring at the stuff for half an hour. If that doesn't work try PMing Spec.Ops1 or Joracle or anyone else on the spec ops crew. Or try calling the store with paintball probelms, I guess after trying to work out some social probelms with those working the phones that night was alittle too much. Actually that didn't happen... yet...

I totally agree this ghillie is by far one of the best that i have used. I have used it sucessfully used it many times in games. And construction of it is really easy. All you need to do is cut the material and then just zip tie it to the shirt and pants that are provided. All you need to have is a pair of sissors, wire cutter, and patients. I know for mine i needed alot more ghillie material so i had to order this after i was out of the stuff that came with it. But for just a plain and simple ghillie it is more that adaquite to use. I WOULD RECOMEND THIS TO ANYONE! And it really isn't that expensive either
Spray and pray will give you away, but quiet and sneaky you will walk away!

To save money you could prolly just get a camo-net(used for hunting) from an outdoors store, and use that for you mask and gun rag. and i do want to know if the action ghillie is worth it, i keep flipping back and forth between action ghillie and normal ghillie/bushrag suites. (that brings up a new topic....has anybody tired the lightweight bushrag suites...how do they preform.)
