If I remember correctly the halo has the ability to have a higher bps but since it uses eyes a chopped ball can become a real issue on the field. Since the Reloader uses sound a chopped ball is not as big of a deal.

I use the Reloader and have it set up to do 25 bps which is pretty good. The newest Reloaders use magnets to spin the paddles instead of a clock spring which will make maintanence a lot easier.

In electric loaders sound activation is the way to go. Loaders that use eyes or a switch in the feed neck can run even when you still have paint in the loader which gets really annoying. Also, eyes can get covered with paint or have problems seeing some paint colors and switches can get stuck. Sound activated loaders only run while you're shooting so you don't even notice they're running and the batteries last longer.

As Devil has said there is more that can go wrong with a hopper that has eyes than one that is sound activated. Yes, if your marker has eyes then a chopped ball is less of an issue (as long has your eyes are working correctly). But with a sound activated hopper you don't have to worry as much about pinched wires, gunk on the eyes, etc. Plus the field owner where I play has his Reloader all done up and maxes his out at 25 bps, which is pretty darned fast.

In my opinion I would go with the sound activated. Then again take into consideration that this is what I have.
