ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW not in a good way
I play paintball mostly woodsball, how long did that take you to write? and when people think of paintball they mostly think of woodsball and that we are play wanna be soldiers and that is why i hate milsim because it feeds that growing stereotype
for the the sport to grow it needs to stay away from real guns
woodsball is staying anywhere because it is easy and people can go into their woods and play rec ball but honestly dont try to make people feal bad for woodsball because it is not on tv or because it is more starter friendly

Your an idiot.

Its oviously not trying ot make people feel bad for us who play in the woods - but more so let the people who play in the woods know to be proud. That we dont need to worry that we're not making money or becoming big famous stars, we're not kids freaking out on their well trimmed lawns because someone didnt watch their back.

I think what he wrote 2 years ago is amazing and still stands.

True woodsball player there and here

so you are saying everyone who plays speedball is making money and im the idiot? and i dont need to feel proud about playing woodsball like he said 90% of paintballers play in the woods so is this a tribute to everyone for being in the normal

I can't believe this was done 2 years ago and the argument is still going on! On my home forum, we posted this and had a 5 day debate on it, and the subject was closed. Basically we settled on the idea: all paintball is equal. Everyone plays for different reasons, with different backgrounds, and in different ways. But in the end, we're all paintballers. /end

No, that's not my voiceover. It was done by some fans of the site. And there's no need for me to do one like it, because it's been done. No need to re-do it.

I find it amazing that it's 2 years old, and it's still got that "punch-to-the-gut" feel to it that everyone here still relates to.

I've gotten a lot of flack over the years about it, that calling it a "Manefesto" was wrong. No. This is a political statement as much as it's a statement of who we are. I think that a lot of the "3 year plan" players forget very quickly where they've come from, or where the sport they play came from, or who ultimately funds their sponsorships. And this piece still speaks to the people who see "tourney pukes" scream, swear, cheat and fight. The people who shake their heads and say "That's not what I play, nor is it what I will ever play."

That's why it's still going on. Because for every person that says "all forms of paintball should be the same", there's 2-3 people posting "Woods paintball SUX!" And the ultimate joke is that in 3 years, those same 2-3 people will move out of paintball when they figure out the dead end they're in. 19 years of perspective is a wonderful thing.

preach on! in 17 years of the sport, i've only played on a commercial field once, for a tournament, and my team got creamed for playing 'honor ball' and called ourselves out when hit...don't need ref's to drag you off the field in woodsball, don't need ref's at all...to each their own, but i've found more fun and honor in the shade of the green :D
