here's the deal... im upgrading from an X7. i dicided i spent a little too much money on a bulky marker that needs a lot of upgrades, plus its a flashy marker to let friends use

i play mostly woodsball, never played a speedball game before, but i want to at some point in the future. i want either a SLG or PMR but i dont know which to get.

seeing as i need an electronic hopper before i play (getting that 1st... a halo B with a belt drive or something... good choice?) i probably wont have this marker till its too cold and nobody around here will want to play anymore, so i have time to spend money, so its not that big of a factor. i dont wanna spend TOO much on this marker though.

oh and btw, i wanna make sure... a proto rail is the same thing as a PMR right?.... i feel stupid for asking, but hey, i gotta figure out somehow

so either an 09 SLG or a pmr (or proto rail)

(yes, i have HPA for those wondering)

*edit* i hope this is in the right section, i know dye makes these markers, so i assumed it would be in high end markers

Well you are correct that a PMR is the same thing as a Proto Matrix Rail. I own the PMR SE(totally worth the extra 40 bucks) I love this gun to death. It shoots great and i have never had a problem with it so far(knocks on wood). the only upgrade I would recommend for it would be an ON/OFF asa but other then that it is an all around awesome marker.
If you have any other questions about it, just shoot me a PM

I have a PMR and I absolutely LOVE it. I bought the regular model not the SE and upgraded that parts that I felt necessary. 2 things I think need to be replaced right away are the backcap (Replace for an aluminum one) and a trigger if you are going to keep the stock frame.

BUT, you said 09 Rail so it already comes with the UL frame, so no worries about the trigger. I'm not 100% on what barrel is coming on the 09 model, but that may be another upgrade you need.

From looking at the pictures, it seems like it is coming with the 14in. Two-Piece that comes with the Special Edition(Great Barrel)
