I've seen crappy speedball gear or rap 4 gear in patterns that we can't get on spec ops and I was wondering when they will make new patterns to suit our taste and enviorment we play in. tell me what you think on this. If you choose other tell us what you would want made and why.

i would definitely go and buy a new operative v2 vest in tigerstripe if they came out with one... i've got the woodland digi right now, but i'd have no problem spending the money again just to pick up on in tiger... man that'd be so sweet... =')

If you supply them the material, they can build a custom vest for you... It's very expensive though.

On a side note, the only things RAP4 make that aren't made of fail are their vests.

I'm a fan of the vietnam tiger stripe myself, but 6 color is kinda making a comeback with some rappers and is still used by a few nations. I'd still go for it and I'd take tiger stripe too

The Canadian in me wants CADPAT, but the Spec Ops Digi looks close enough, I suppose.

Whoops, sorry for necroposting.

Bill, You made a mistake coming here to the internet paintball community. These people will not be put off, will not accept partial answers and will hold you accountable for everything you say. They are not your typical customer. Even through all the bickering and flaming, the collective consciousness of this community sits at nothing less than the genius level. They are the highest and best of what paintball has to offer. I have trusted and turned to them for years and they have allowed me to walk among them for which I am grateful.

i voted fo all becaus ei would love to see as many choices as possible. not every field will be the same and if the one person bought the gear to match his enviroment better then the rest he has a huge advantage.

but i would love to see the urban make it.

That would work but getting pouches for these patterns is next to impossible and I'm not a fan of the MOLLE gear sold my RAP4. I've come to trust and love the Special Ops brand of woodsball gear for the fact that it is able to hold up to more abuse or it's adaptability to sitchuations. They still make 6 color desert and Tiger stripe BDU's and I hope they'll make vests for them because there is a market for it.

If anyone else has ever tried "Opsgear"'s Commando Jumpsuit in Subdued Urban, they'll know what this post is about.

I would absolutely cry for joy to see specops make a run of something like that. I play in Midwest woods, and found that the camo worked the absolute best of anything I've used. I'm not even sure why honestly, but it works phenomenally. (Till I grew out of the suit I had.)

One example: Playing a small formation with teammates, I am on far left, marker fire erupts on my left. Our center man decides to take some pot shots, like a fool at a bush for the heck of it. Ends up shooting me, thinking I was said bush.

It's amazing, and looks cool to boot. Specops could make a killing selling such gear.

LoopDood mentioned this way back at the start of this post (11 months ago) - MOATI can make any pouch, vest, remote line cover, etc. you want in any pattern you want, just supply the material. It really isn't all that expensive however considering it's a custom item: the material cost & the item cost + a 10-20% upcharge for custom work. Contact Mo directly for more details if you want you very own operative vest done in digital Marpat or blaze orange (in case you play on the surface of the sun).

The reason Special Ops isn't going to carry 10 different camo patterns for all their different soft goods items is up front costs without any guarantee of sales. Imagine how much it would take to keep a warehouse full of soft goods in a bunch of different patterns. There really isn't enough demand for Marpat for them to do an entire production run of the stuff in all their soft goods... and 6 forum members do not qualify as "enough demand" - especially when you can get clothing, vests & pouches in that pattern from other places. I think that's why they have chosen to focus on their own proprietary patterns SO Digi & OmniPat. Special Ops is the only place to get them so there is high enough demand for the items. Notice they have discontinued all the ACU items & possibly basic woodland as well, they are just letting these old stock items sell out without any intent to replenish.

I was lucky... I picked up a good deal of my Multicam items from the online store prior to them discontinuing the pattern & the rest thru the forums since.

You bought the brand, not my allegiance.
