Ah. Fair enough. This was my third pawn shop and I knew EXACTLY what I was looking for. The last pawn shop had one with $425 on it. Used. I offered $350 and his response was "You may be cheap, but I know for a fact that I can sell this for $425, now take your haggling elsewhere." So I did. I got the SAME MODEL shotgun (in better condition) for $300 5 blocks down the road.

I'd show it to the guy at the first shop and just walk out laughing.

Yeah. I thought about it. But that would have meant going back. They were asking $70 OVER MSRP for a NIB S&W .40 handgun. It was $110 cheaper at Scheel's across town.

oh yeah..You don't have a car, do you? Walking around town with a gun might not be the best idea.. You may get a free cab ride though :P

I always check with 3 gun stores on prices before I buy. Some places will rip you off good. Gander mountain and Bass Pro Shops are 2 examples.. I have better luck with small, family owned shops

I have a vehicle. But I wasn't driving at the time.

I just dont drive much. My truck is parked on a sidewalk right now, and it will stay there until Friday when I go to the gun show. Unless it is nice enough to Folf on Thursday...

This sidewalk is covered in snow. So I will just play dumb if I get a warning. Someone else was parked there before me.

I'm gonna buy a FN Five-seveN in 5 months or so, anything I should know about this gun?

Just out of curiousity, what is the purpose of this gun. Because, unless you have a supply of AP ammo and plan to be shooting armored assailants, it isn't the best choice for . . . well, anything but collecting/showing off at the range really.

why does everyone keep saying ap? the 5.7 was just designed to shoot through the old PASGT vest at 300m and the kevlar helmet at 200. big deal, most rounds do the same thing and they're not ap.

The FiveseveN is a lot of money for what is practically a .22WMR pistol.

i happen to have an old helmet and flak jacket that i "tested" with various rounds. .17 hmr went through, 5.56 went through, 7.62x39 went through. we already have rounds that can do it and they're not ap. and yes .22mag rocks just like the .17hmr does...

Well... at least my helmet might stop a 9mm handgun round.

I'm sure they are referring to the specifically AP ammo T_H. Aluminum or lead core, steel penetrator.
