I just bought another Ion after taking a leave of absence from paintball for the past three years. After playing two games I run into a problem. After walking onto the field I turn on my ASA to gas up the gun and the instantly started to leak air VERY loud. Would could it possibly be? The regulator go out? Thanks for any help.

Ion = bad choice in my opinion.

Couple things we need to know...

Where is it leaking from?
Where is it leaking from?
And...where is it leaking from? :dodgy:

-It could be your macroline, but if it was LOUD it most likely wasn't that. Take the line out and see how chewed up the ends are.
-Take your regulator off and check the o-ring at the top. While your checking o-rings, check your tank o-ring as well.
-Take the marker apart and check out the macroline in there. I'm not sure what any of the things are called but there should be two macro fittings inside the body. Look over those two areas.
-Make sure the QEV is screwed in/on all of the way, check that tiny o-ring to boot.
-Check your bolt and make sure those o-rings are lubed and in working order.
-Make sure everything is tightened down when you put it back together (fittings inside the body (2 of them), grip frame and body (2 screws))
If none of that helps, find someone who really knows Ions. I haven't delt with them in a long while, for a good reason.
-Ty

EDIT: What type of ASA is on it? I have a push button ASA that blew an o-ring and caused a very loud leak. I had to take it apart to find it and replace it. So...check your ASA too.

Sounds like O-Rings on the bolt.

Finally decided to fix it. My new firebolt broke in half after 1 game. What complete crap.

Sounds like you got one of the first firebolts. The first batch of them had some issues with breaking. Call Smart Parts and they will send you a new bolt.
Coming soon.

The L7v2 bolt from TechT is pretty nice. Nothing from TechT has disappointed me.

That's a mighty redundant post, then. Irony!
