Ok so I am returning to Canada after working in the States and overseas for a few years. Does anyone know the rules and regs about flying into the country with Paintball markers? If you can get back to me I would appreciate it.

It probably depends on the airline. Guns etc probably need to be in your checked luggage, and you should probably notify them when checking them that you have paintball markers in your bag to avoid issues. Also, the valve in any air tanks (CO2 or HPA) has to be removed.

Mailing them would be best but if you insist on taking them with you....

It's best if you have them in their own locking hard case, barrel and any milsim add-ons should be removed, tanks should have valves removed. At the counter be sure to declare, repeatedly, that the case has paintball equipment in it. Depending on how paranoid you are you may or may not want to have your name and package contents stenciled/engraved on it. Be sure to write down any and all serial numbers of the gear, take current photos of you with it, showing the serial numbers if possible and keep a copy with you, just in case of delay/customs/loss.

I would put the PB stuff as check-in and not carry on. I also would mail the tanks. Ensure the barrels are off the markers since X-rays will show a certain signature.

I doubt they would allow it as carry on.
